Bowe nixes Tyson 4-rounders!
By Flattop
Former two-time heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe is not interested in fighting Mike Tyson in a proposed four-rounder showcase. “My eyes is still on the big prize – the heavyweight championship of the World,” said former two-time heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe. Earlier this week it was reported that Tyson trainer Jeff Fenech was negotiating a series of four-round tournament against the likes of Evander Holyfield and Bowe. Fenech rationalized that Tyson doesn’t have the commitment to train for a ten-round fight but that he is “still explosive for four rounds.” Bowe dismissed fighting Tyson under such condition and he commented: “I highly doubt that Evander would want to get involved in a circus act.” Bowe and Holyfield competed in one of boxing’s most memorable trilogies in the early ‘90’s. Bowe is reportedly back in the gym and planning a return to the ring in the late summer or early September. Dick Gregory – the former comedian now-turned nutritionist – is working with Bowe on a daily basis to get his weight under control. After nearly an eight-year layoff, Bowe returned to ring in September 2004 at 265 pounds, an all-time career high. Six months later, Bowe weight a whopping 280 pounds in his second comeback fight. Gregory has an outstanding reputation of working with celebrities and athletes who have problems managing their weight.
Thumbs up unfortunately he is about brain dead to be competing anyways.
