Looking at some at the disgracefull performance of Mundine lately dodging Golovkin in a World title Fight and lining up argentine Cab drivers as the back up,it is refreshing to see the likes of Sakio Bika another fighter Mundine ran from,His record is.
Won 28 lost 3
Has Wins over Manfredo Jun
Sam Soliman to name a few.
Went the Distance with Lucian Bute
Went the distance with Calzhage
Fought Beyer and the fight was stopped in the 4th round due to cut over Beyers right eye

Now this bloke has stepped up to the plate regularly and its a refreshing change to the things that have been happening lately,He certainly deserves all the accolades he gets, well done mate you can hold your head up high.!!!

Would loved to have seen Him against Mundine.!!!!!

The last time I saw Bika fight was on OneHD's Superboxer series. It was against a guy called Nestor Casanova and it lasted all of 30sec.

Bika has only fought 5 rounds in total in the past 3 years, which for a professional fighter just isn't good enough. Granted he had issues with a couple of fights falling through, but for some reason it seems to happen to him more than anybody else.

Bika is fighting Jean Paul Mendy for a mandatory shot at the title.

Bika was offered $250,000 to fight mundine however bika wanted $400,000

Yes

You can be sure Mundine still wants the fight but not while Bika is so inactive

yeah if bika managed to pick up a legitimate belt or atleast get a hes name back out there, than i think mundine would jump at the fight in a heartbeat. but bika would want a big share of the pot then 2.or atleast i used to think that mundine would jump at the fight, but moving down to 154 takes it a little out of the equation i suppose.

there is still some big domestic fights for mundine isnt there. you got bika,a rematch with geale, if briggs beats green than a fight with him would be huge and also the green rematch (whether he wins or loses to briggs) it will always make both a very good payday, bolling seems to be progressing quickly and could make a big name for himself in the next couple of years

none of these are at 154 so maybe they really think, they can get a big name fight at that weight ie cotto, floyd, marg or even mosley

Mundine will be fighting Wood in December at 168 so if Bika wins the eliminator next month then you never know....however Dont see Bika beating Bute.

The wood fight just may get put back after his bad cut at last weeks fights, hes got no chance of fighting on Mundines card in 2 weeks.

What has inactivity to do with it? Are you saying that if Bika was more active, he could get a crack at Mundine?

I don't understand this 'logic'.

Everyone knows Bika has been chasing Mundine for Years, but Mundine wont even come to the table,Bika a couple of Years ago would have taken Mundine no problems probably take him now I reckon.!!!!

Mundine would no way face Bika.Mundine doesn't fight people who give him threats.

Whatever

Bika wanted twice the money offered, deal over.

If Bika was fighting and winning then maybe a mundine fight would be back on the cards.

Also if he was fighting the IBO would not have taken Bikas belt away.

And yes battelingnelson, f Bika still had the IBO world title that may have been the edge that Mundine needed to take the fight

If Bika walked down the main street of most aussie towns nobody would notice him, thats my point

Well why did he knock back a WBA World Tiltle shot against Golovkin should have that been a Big incentive,My mail is they completely ignored Golovkins many attempts to fight him, then the Fight was sanctioned to fill a vacant Title and He hid under the Bed.

Dont think he would have ever fought Bika he was just to dangerous,Mate Your allegiance to the Man is admirable but I think your flogging a dead horse.!!!!

I swear the WBA is the worst organisation..
they elevated otke, and kessler twice to super wba champions so that the regular wba title becomes vacant and that's how Mundine becomes champion..
why the fk do they do that?
does the wbc, bo and ibf do this **** too?

Mundines career took a turn for the worse after he fought 2 World Class Fighters Ottke who punches like a Girl but still put his lights out and Kessler who chased the man for 12 rounds and won easily on points.

Since then he has avoided any one who has a ranking and a Big name those 2 Fights made him realise he is a long way off the Worlds best, and to step into the ring with the likes of Golovkin,Pavlik or even a Martinez would be the end of His already manipulated career, for those who have no idea his career and constant rantings can look and sound impressive, but most real educated fight fans know he is all smoke and Mirrors.!!!

Its my mail he tried to fight him and had a deal 1 month before the purse bid was called for....golovkin changed the deal and it was off

Khoder will never lose control of a promotion and the cash unless its a massive fight and golovkin was never massive.

You said if Mundine was fighting Bika for a World title He would have taken the fight.!!!!

Then a World Title fight against Golovkin is sanctioned and he refuses to sign, you may not think Golovkin is a Big name but He is ranked number 1 by the WBC so someone has an opinion of him.

Mate everyone knows Mundine was petrified of Golovkin because of his knockout percentage end of story, this wanted more money Bullsh*t is wearing thin, and a great scapegoat and a great excuse for lack of courage.!!!!

You look kind of silly saying that mate.

Both Kessler and green hit harder than golovkin.

Make no mistake, ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY

During an era of unprecedented talent and opportunity at 168, Sakio has failed to fully cash in. I know he had those VISA probs for the Green fight, but that was back in January and still nothing. It's insane the bad luck he's had. Maybe it's not bad luck anymore. Maybe ought to take that 400k and fight Mundine.

The thing about Choc is that even if he had six or seven defeats against top guys on his record, he'd still get respect from the people who don't dig his persona or his politics. They'd say, well at least he fought the best. He might even have surprised and won a few he wasn't expected to win. Maybe he might have won them all, right around the period in 2007 when he was hitting his straps. It might have taken him in a different direction in life and avoided that fateful day he licked his contact lens and infected his eye and lost some vision, which I think was a turning point in proceedings.

Really does show how little he cares for the things other fighters obsess about. Good for him if this stuff doesn't matter. He's fighting cheap easybeats, avoiding long-term neurological damage and making maximum dough for his family. Far more than any other local fighter could doing what he's doing, except Danny Green.

Choc isn't doing it for the fans. He doesn't care about putting on a show one bit. The day the fans stop showing up to his crappy fights is the day he'll quit, but the financial incentive is massive, so he'll keep going for now. It's a free market, and no-one's being forced to go along or buy the PPV, but they're still doing it so he'll keep the PT Barnum Boxing Show going for a while longer yet.

Col just when you thought Aussie Boxing could not get any worse, another PT Barnham incident, read this.!!!

SYDNEY'S biggest, and possibly toughest, nutcase will finally be unveiled today when bidding ends on the weirdest eBay item in Australian sporting history - a fight with John Hopoate. Organisers are hoping up to $1000 will be outlaid for the chance to fight Hoppa, whose heavyweight stoush will be the main event on a Belrose Eagles fight night at North Sydney Leagues on June 25.

Anyone who wishes to take on the big unit can, after taking their medication presumably, bid up until noon.

That's cool since it's just a sparring session and he'll fight to your level. Kind of them to offer a local pick-up!

Its a shame he the Allan Green fight didnt work out for him i would have liked to see how he would have faired against the best super middles in the world. He would deffinately be an underdog but i think he could pull out a few surprises.

My favourite move is how he still hasn't rematched Geale.

love to see Sakio start getting active, does seem as though his fights fall through a lot, perhaps he doesn't realise how unmarketable he is.
