Mr. Ryan 12-07-2004, 12:02 PM As a special preview for HBO Boxing fans leading up to the Klitschko-Williams pay-per-view fight, HBO Sports will present the exclusive re-broadcast of WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko's three exciting fights against Lennox Lewis, Kirk Johnson and Corrie Sanders on Friday, December 10 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT) and Saturday, December 11 (3:30 p.m. ET/PT) on the HBO2 service.
Then on Saturday night, December 11, Vitali Klitschko (34-2, 33 KOs) will make the first defense of his WBC heavyweight championship when he meets the man who recently knocked out Mike Tyson, the explosive Danny Williams (32-3, 27 KOs) in an HBO Pay-Per-View showdown from the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT.
The HBO2 service replays of the three heavyweight bouts featuring Klitschko include his memorable June 2003 showdown with then-world-champion Lennox Lewis that was stopped in the sixth round due to a cut above Vitali's eye; plus his December 2003 stunning KO of Kirk Johnson in New York's Madison Square Garden; and his decisive KO win over Corrie Sanders in April of 2004 in Los Angeles that fulfilled the Kiev, Ukraine native's lifelong dream of becoming a heavyweight champion.
"Boxing fans love hard-hitting heavyweight action and HBO2 viewers will get plenty of big-punch action when they tune in for the special replays," said Mark Taffet of HBOPPV.
"It's the perfect way to get ready for the big Klitschko-Williams pay-per-view show."
For the Saturday, December 11 HBO Pay-Per-View telecast of VITALI KLITSCHKO VS. DANNY WILLIAMS, boxing fans will be able to watch the broadcast in High Definition Television.
The fight marks the first HBO Pay-Per-View broadcast to be shown in High Definition. Viewers must have access to HDTV in order to watch the programming in High Definition.

HBO is too kind, wouldn't you agree?
LuKahnLi 12-07-2004, 12:03 PM They did the same thing for the Morales-Barrera III squab. Man, they should do this for EVERY PPV show.

Recently they've been doing that. For Trinidad-Mayorga, they did that. For Jones-Tarver I also.

I agree! I love the chance to re-tape some of these fights ;) Getting Morales-Barrera 1,2 and 3 all on one tape was sweet! Probably one of my fav. tapes now!

I tape in SP 2 hour mode, so I only have I and II on the same tape. The third is on a seperate one. I swear, if you tape in SP, the quality is so much better for libraries. I also tape the pre and postfight stuff so I can reminisce about the entire experience.

Man, I prefer to do that , but when I'm shipping out quite a few tapes per week to people, its hard to keep a supply. Mine are on Sony tapes, so with the digital cable that 'whine' isnt so bad on SLP...on regular cable i refuse to tape on anything BUT SP! ;)

I make copies for friends in SLP because I'm a cheap ass Flip.

with me it depends on what they want. If I can fit their request on 2 hr's then that's what I do cause I agree that the quality is better. I usually discuss this with them in advance, and see if they prefer one tape or two...you'd be surprised how many have said that even on SLP the quality of what I send out is good. So, long as their happy, it works for me! ;)

The kids I hook up are not collectors but simply fans who want to see a good fight.

I dont know if my "peoples" are collectors or not..I dont ask what they do with the tapes. I do send a blank label so they can fill it out in their own handwriting (no girly girl writing :D ) in case they do add it to a collection of some kind. ;)
