RabbitPunchBoxing 12-06-2004, 11:04 PM Another HOT RabbitPunchBoxing.com Exclusive! Kofi Jantuah will take on IBF Jr. Middleweight champ Kassim "The Dream" Ouma on the undercard of Gatti-Leija on January 22nd. Kofi is coming off his spectacular 30 second knockout of Marco Antonio Rubio on September 18th and Ouma will have his first title defense since winning the IBF belt against Verno Phillips on October 2nd.
Hurlex 12-06-2004, 11:14 PM cool..i am interested..i saw how he KTFO of the latino..i think rubio m,marco antonio rubio or whatever..anyway it look like a good card for that night...and after gatti beat lieja..its gatti/mayweather...horay *****es
RabbitPunchBoxing 12-06-2004, 11:17 PM Yeah this is going to be a great matchup of African fighters. It's very rare that two African's fight each other especially for a title. Kofi told me that the only way that he would fight Kassim would be for a title.
Raekwon 12-06-2004, 11:20 PM kick ass, this looks like it could be a good fight, nice post!
Sir_Jose 12-06-2004, 11:21 PM Thats a great fight. Ouma will fight anyone anywhere anytime. Jantuah looks like he can KO anyone he hits clean.
I think Ouma will outbox him and win by wide UD.
RabbitPunchBoxing 12-06-2004, 11:26 PM I think that Ouma can outbox him if he chooses to go with that gameplan since Kofi has difficulty with guys that give him movement but it's going to be interesting if Ouma goes straight at him.
Sir_Jose 12-06-2004, 11:29 PM Ouma doesn't go straight at guys he goes backwards and lets guys come to him and thats exactly what Jantuah will do.
on a side note:
There are some great Jantuah KO's in the gallery for anyone who hasn't seen him.
mic573 12-06-2004, 11:30 PM This would be an interesting fight. Ouma is kind of an in your face type fighter not really a boxer. I think Jantuah would give him a tough fight but I expect Ouma to win a decision. He is the quicker of the two and he has a pretty good punch as well. Ouma has been stopped early in his career though.
FUBAR 12-07-2004, 12:56 AM Damn, I smell an upset here. Kofi is on the way to big things. That power is ferocious.
Hurlex 12-07-2004, 01:04 AM ok...so at first i didnt care who won that..but when he won (kofi)...and he starts talking (and u here that accent) and he starts sending shout outs oversea's to his people i was like i like this dude..he's seems nice and cool..i hope he wins and gets his chane at making it big...not manny from over there do so i hope he has what it takes

Have you ever seen Ouma? All he does is come at you the whole fight. He walks you down and throws punches all night. You dont set punch output records by going backwards and being a counterpuncher
jpboxer3 12-07-2004, 02:09 AM WOW! Jantuah has one-punch KO power and has already beaten Current World Title holder at 154 in Daniel Santos.Ouma is a volume puncher that will keep his punch rate up the entire fight because of his great Stamina. Both of these guys are top5 154pounders and I guess the only way one of them will get the big money fight is by beating each other.Wright and Mosely want none of these two, thats for sure.

You are absolutely correct.
cmason 12-07-2004, 07:17 AM just watched the rubio knockout, thanks jpboxer3. hell of a punch. i would still favour ouma in this one, though. i think he's on the verge of being a major star. correct me if i'm wrong but this is his hbo debut, right?
mic573 12-07-2004, 09:56 AM Yes I think this is his first HBO fight.
PRboxingfan 12-07-2004, 10:50 AM This will be an interesting fight. If Ouma can take Jantuah's power (which I'm not sure he can) then he will win a UD from sheer volume punches but if he gets caught (Jantuah can crack with both hands) it will be good night Ouma. Remember, Ouma has been TKO'd by getting KD'd three times in the first round.
