From AAP -

DANNY GREEN has announced he will make the third defence of his
IBO cruiserweight boxing world title against fellow Australian PAUL
BRIGGS at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on July 21.
Former light heavyweight title contender BRIGGS is confident he
can overcome ring rust after more than three years out of the ring.
GREEN is expecting a fierce fight following some torrid sparring
sessions against BRIGGS several years ago.
He says he has everything to lose and BRIGGS has everything to
win.

What a load of wank

God I would love it if Paul knocked him out.

It would make my day.

Danny's stocks just sank even lower. So muchfor chasing a big name fight. I like Briggsy but the guys been out way to long

Yeah I don't give Briggs much of a chance. Just way too inactive plus he looked terrible just before he finished up.

You never know though, we can dream.

Funnily enough I like this fight. It's a shame Briggs' career was curtailed by the health issues, but it will be more than interesting to see how he goes. I won't miss it. If this is the epilogue of Paul's career, I hope it's one hell of an epilogue. (Thanks Larry Merchant).

Well if I don't believe the fight is a joke, $1000 for a ringside ticket is the biggest laugh in town.

Prices: VIP Ringside $1000 Platinum Ringside $750 Gold Ringside $500 Silver Ringside $350 Bronze Ringside $250 Platinum $135 Gold $95 Silver $65

<sigh> Superannuating fighters is a costly past-time.

Can anybody remember exactly what Briggs' health issues were?

In all honesty it is probably a lot better than the next best option.

God knows what that would have been.

Ottke maybe?

I might go to this one, not far from where I live so could happen, I would only buy $100-$150 ticket thou. Not worth spending any more on this one.

This would of been a great fight years ago.. Paul hasn't fought forever and in hes last outing didn't look so great.. but still a better opponent then I expected Green to fight.

God I would love it if Paul knocked him out.

Me neither, mate.
Huge fan of Paul's, especially after reading his book.
I hear that Briggsy got the better of their sparring in 04/05, but three years is a long lay off.

Fingers crossed.
