in and out so not really.

First of all, the (questionable) news - still unverified - is Marquez-Diaz 2 is at 140. The presenters said this to Katsidis and it was news to him. I'm thinking they're wrong and the fight is still at 135. They said it again after the interview finished. Boxrec has it at 135.

Cagey on the next opponent. "We'll have to wait and see what happens", but not overly choosey. Said he wants Khan, but got the gist the 135 title shot is still the main priority. Hinted the next fight will be very soon, but it "depends on how the promoters put it together and how bad the fans want it".

Does a lot of work with former world champion Lupe Aquino.

Ignored corner advice during the Casamayor fight. Thought he saw something in Casa's eyes that said he'd had enough and went for the knockout.

Thinks Mayweather is a bad fight for Pacquiao. Not saying so because he resides in Floyd's hometown (Las Vegas), but because Manny hasn't fought anyone as crafty and skilled as Floyd. Sitting on the fence but leaning towards a Mayweather win. Incidentally, those are the two fighters he admires most in the sport.

On being in wars: "If you get cut what can you do about it? It's just a little bit of blood and it's not gonna hurt you so just get on with the business of fighting."

Wouldn't say which fight was his toughest - "They've all been wars". One of the presenters suggested the Amonsot fight was his toughest. Kats agreed it was a great way to introduce himself to American TV.

That's about it. Asked if he had a message for the fans: "Nah, nothing much to say, but plenty to do".

Katsidis also said he considers himself the true lightweight champ since he's the only one whose honoured his mandatory defence.

Was surprised he knocked out Mitchell so quickly. Said he was expecting 12 rounds but saw the opportunity and went for it.

thanks Wallace, couldn't give you K.

No worries. Wouldn't make any difference since the dude who runs these forums hit me with 10k worth of red stuff because they ****ed up a Pacquiao story and I happened to point it out.

I don't think any region anywhere in the country truly understands boxing to be honest.

Floyd would find a way to win via SD. This fight if it happens will be a big let down, just like DLH vs. Mayweather.

Just dont think Pacuqiao will let Mayweather dictate the fight and have it fought on His terms, still think it would be a ripper.!!!

I don't think it would be a war. Mayweather would be pretty cautious but I also think he would be very effective.

We have to remember that pretty much all of Manny's opponents since JMM have been either easy or relatively easy to hit. Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, these are all offensively minded fighters. The only fighter Manny has fought since Marquez who isn't a straight up offensive fighter is Clottey, and he doesn't have the ability to make you miss and counter, he just covers up and waits for you to finish - horrible strategy for dealing with Pacquiao.

There is probably nobody in the game right now that is harder to hit than Mayweather. I think Pacquiao would find it pretty tough going. He would miss a lot of straight lefts and get tagged stright down the middle with counter right hands I think.

I don't see Manny being able to beat Mayweather. Above all else it is just a horrible, horrible style matchup for Pacquiao.

Not sure. Its always just seemed like one of those fights that is just too big not to get made, but you never know with these two.

Mayweather's attitude is well known, but I also think Manny's attitude has been a factor so far in this fight not getting done. Both of these guys are incredibly arrogant, and that is never conducive to a fight getting made.

I'm told the Pacman is already in over his head dealing with the transition into office with his new job as a congressman. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone at the moment, because with the time-consuming nature of the job, Pacquiao won't be able to focus wholly for any fight from now on in, which means us boxing fans will see a sub-par Pacman against Mayweather or whoever.

It's also a loss for his constituents, albeit a self-inflicted one for electing a jock to represent them in parliament. Hopefully the Philippines is such a banana republic all Manny has to do is shake a few hands, sign a few bills, cut a few ribbons and be out of the office in a couple of hours and back at the gym. I don't think he had any idea what he was getting himself into.

As for a Mayweather fight, if it had happened in March I'm sure the geeks on NSB would still be fighting tooth and nail over who won.

I've had a few Am fights at Caboolture and have to agree. Rednecks galore!

This is my read on the fight, too.
Obviously Pac has improved immensely in recent years, but I still think the Marquez fights give the blue print on how to beat him. It'll take a cagey fighter with good counter punching to capitalise when Pacquiao over extends and gets off balance. Enter Floyd Mayweather.
