What order do you think the top 10 British P4P list should be?

1. Ricky Hatton - (IBF World)
2. Joe Calzaghe - (WBO World)
3. Scott Harrison - (WBO World)
4. Junior Witter - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
5. Nicky Cook - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
6. Clinton Woods - (IBF World)
7. Howard Eastman - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
8. Johnny Nelson - (WBO World)
9. Robin Reid - (IBO World)
10. Esham Pickering - (Brit/Comm/Euro)

I've probably missed someone out, but what do you guys think?

And also, please post a top 10 list of your own... ;)

Cant really argue with that mate, its difficult to say who's better than who but i'd probably agree with most you have put.

Even though i'm a big Hatton fan i'd still rate Calzaghe higher than him, Calzaghe IMO is probably top 5 P4P in the world and its only because he's too good for his own good that he doesnt get the full credit, he's made a lot of good fighters look ****!! Hatton's in a strong divison so to dominate as well as Joe's done would be hard but i'd take that into consdieration and he could easy move ahead of him in 2005/2006.

Elveiel... Yeah, I wouldn't usually have Hatton ahead of Calzaghe, and I too think Calzaghe is too good for his own good. ;)

The only reason I've put Hatton at the top is because he's coming off a stoppage win against a light-welterweight legend.

And it's been a while since we've seen Calzaghe in the ring with a top class opponent.

(I suposse what I'm saying is, Hatton has earned some respect for a little while).

10- Woods

swap Thompson for Nicky Cook and that would be about right, though Carl Froch might be a little to high right know but he'll be a champ in the not to long future.

 not since he beat zoo he isnt

calzaghe is on the way down chaps his perfomance vs Khaleem a prime example hatotn is a star on the rise, its correct to have a linear champ at one over a WBO titlist.

come on.....hatton has had one big win....

calzaghe has had many thus far and you can't hold that against him....Hatton is a new title holder and Calzaghe had been a holder for many years......his mediocre performance against Saleem was rectified with his impressive performance over Veit IN GERMANY.

who has JC fought who is anyhwere near Kostya's level

no one mate.

sorry sicknotes career has beena joke of late.

yeah a win in germany over a man he already ko'd in one and is european level.

the win over zoo is far more impressive than anyhting calzaghe has done since he beat a shopworn Eubank.

think we may have to agree to disagree here buddy.

I would put Joe Calzaghe at #1. He is really good, and he looks way better than Ricky.

You mean Lennox Lewis???.... He's retired man, otherwise he'd be at the top of the tree!

Calzaghe was rated over Lewis: http://sport.guardian.co.uk/boxing/story/0,,996634,00.html

Lewis never had a win as good as Hatton's over Tszyu.

Calzaghe has had, what, 17 or 18 World title fights? Hatton has had one.

Eubank, Brewer, Sheika, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell.. Calzaghe beat them all! Joe certainly has the best resume and totally demolished his last opponent just a couple of months ago, and his opponent was top 10 in his division.

When Ricky defends his belt a few times against decent oppositon then maybe I'll chuck him in ahead of Calzaghe, because Ricky does have a really good resume of his own as it is (Phillips, Tackie, Oliveira, Tszyu).

yes, i do know my stuff mate, but all the guys you quote as JC's great wins are nearly 3 years or more ago. (mitchell was his best oppoenent apart form that in this period of fighting stiffs in world level terms.

He simply has done **** all of late so if i were doibng a list at present then Hatton would be top of the tree over calzage.

The very same reason you bemoan hattons quality of oppoenent is what has ahppened to Joe in the last few years. Just in reverse.

Veit is no better than Tackie, Mgrcian no better than oliveira,
and saleem aint even top 40 and dropped JC so if you are talking about NOW, NO Joe isnt p4p Britain number one Hatton is.

Should Joe beat lacy later in the year that would change but P4P lists arent just done on achievement there are more factors involved here, form, grade of opponent, style and skill.

Well sorry if you dont like it but hatton at present is the man on top of his game, calzaghe worryingly is showing signs of slowing at 32 and i for one have totally lost interest in his career over the past two years..

J !

UNDERSTAND HE IS GOING TO FIGHT ANCIENT FREDDIE P. NEXT.

then the lacy fight will fall through and he is back to square one.

way to go Joe.

I would take out Johnny Nelson and Junior Witter who do not back up their words with devasting ring performance, Witter was exposed last time and Nelson sorry I cannot forgive him for his fight with Carlos De Leon, put in their the Warrior Carl Thompson

agree witter talks utter bollocks and he can finally **** off and forget his match with hatton until he performs.

hopefully witrters fans will crawl back under the rock and shut up as well after a woeful few months for their man.

he was utterly dreadful against Kotn. after bad mouthing hatton (again) and saying he would have sparked Zoo inside five.

Erm hellooooooo you luckily scraped past a european level fighter sunshine,. please shut that mouth of yours and conentrate on boxing. YOUR CAREER IS PASSING YOU BY.

Thank u for that I thought I was the only who feels Witter is just chasing a big payday against Hatton and when he loses says "I did not think he could put that much pressure on". I hope De La Hoya can get Witter a fight with Cotto, this would be really great. Then again he will probably do want he did against Zab Judah, then call himself great for going the distance and saying Ricky could not have done.

What a joker

no mate i cant stand witter, he has made the return of his career post Judah by clinging on to Hatton's coat tails.

id liek to see ricky fiinsh him though, really give him a ****ing old fashioned sustained shellacking for the full 11 rounds then knock him out in the 12th.

bloke talks utter bollox. ;)
