to the hood. Do you think their music would be better? For example, lets say 50 Cent for a year moved back to Jamaica Queens and had his real money put in a seperate account. And used his test account which only had like 500 dollars in it. Lets say he had to move back to the projects for a year and live in poverty. Do you think his music would improve? Or would it be too artificial and he his music would stay the same?

This thread is based on the idea that rappers are better when they first came out. cuz the music they were making was based on real emotions rather than remembering past struggles while driving lambos. lol

Weird thread I know :biggthump

No, because they would just try to survive until the year is up. Before, it was about surviving daily with no oasis in sight. Completely different mindstate. Not to mention they would've already seen and experienced so many more things than they did growing up in the hood. 50 moved back in his grandmother's old house for the Curtis album. The result? The ****tiest album of his career.

He would get robbed at gun point and forced to show where and give up his or some of his riches. Can't go rich, STILL rich and move back. They hungry for money.

Add the second post to the 1st post and that's pretty much what I see unless their old homeys talked some sense into them if they weren't already kissing that rappers ass.

Thats why I stick with rappers like Gucci & Game. I know Game has experimented with autotunes but he still goes hard and stays true for the most part. Gucci may be stupid but i just dont think you can deny his street cred unless of course your part of 80% of the people that hate him that can't understand the way he raps & talks, don't know his history, and havent listened too 98% of his other music besides just spotlight & freaky girl. Even lemonade had hood on it..."lemon pepper wings & a freeze cup"? That's gutta. And he refuses to change despite being locked up and making more money, I just think he's matured and being more smart about it from what I've seen from his getting out video and his first interview I saw at that one radio station.

Before u hate on gucci, listen to "murder for fun", "poppin rubberbands", "on deck", "hot damn", and he has so much more bangers. Very underrated IMO. Just very silly haha but i love it!

The biggest example of this is Eminem if you ask me. His music used to be so raw
