Seems like every fight I see, I am like "wait a min? is that Winky? that is Winky!"

It is nice to see Boxers as fans at the big fights...

Tarver is my dad

the commentators kept mentioning him during the tarver-johnson fight.

Every guy has a Winky.

He should very well be in the same spot always, or there's something wrong.

not to sound like an ******* but i was'nt there :D you could see it on the tv if you looked closely, i guess im just really observant when it comes to the crowd cause i always spend the first 2 rounds of a fight calling out the names of all the stars and fighters that i see in the crowd, lol

I hate people who do that. I'm trying to watch the fight and someone always yells out that's so and so. That's why I like watching the fights alone for the most part.

I only like watching fights alone, with my dad, or with my grandfather.

If I watch fights with my friends they're always like, "THEY AREN'T EVEN PUNCHING EACH OTHER THEYRE JUST JABBING....THIS SUCKS"

The best was when I was watching Morales/Barrera III repeat and my buddy said "holy **** man he hurt him" when Barrera landed a routine jab. I was laughing my ass off.

No **** none of my friends even care unless it is a big name or a ko artist. If it goes above 4 rounds they leave.

General public fans dont admire the science and the skill, all they want to see is Knockouts. It amazes me people can sit through a baseball game for like 4 hours and be excited throughout but cant get up for 45 minutes of great boxing action.

Yeah most people I know only like it when the two fighters are fighting sloppy and missing a thousand punches. Then they wonder why a "Boring" fight like Mayweather or Hopkins beats them with ease.

Yeah I watched Leonard/Hearns I with one of my roommates when they were having classic boxing week awhile back and my roommate was pissing me the **** off. He was all, "they're just jabbing...jab...jab...jab...when does the knockout come?"

I wanted to punch him in the face just on principle alone. I explained to him that any lesser fighters in there would have been KO'd in 10 rounds or less but I think it was falling on deaf ears. He didn't really understand the level at which those guys were fighting that night.

I hear ya man. It always amazes me how sports fans don't appreciate the competitive nature of boxing and yet flood to professional team sports in hordes. The competition in professional team sports is convoluted (with a few exceptions). A team in the baseball or the NBA loses... so what? They come back next season. Once you're in the league, you're set until you retire, essentially. It becomes more entertainment than sport. Contrast this with boxing where competition is taken to the extreme. There is so much to lose if you don't win that one big fight--all the contracts/TV time may go out the window. There's so much at stake. Now that's real competition!

I would have delivered on the knockout on him. People think boxing is brawling and Tyson like antics unfortunately. I watched Castillo-Corrales with a friend he said it was boring as hell except for the 10th round. That really made my blood boil.

By the way, you from Ohio? Which part?

Yeah I watched Castillo/Corrales with a buddy and he actually liked it. He was all, "are you sure this isn't Rocky vs. Apollo Creed?" Funny stuff...

No I'm not from Ohio. I really need to change my CT...it's just something that an music artist I like says periodically.
