i just spent 60 bucks on plastic pots.im not buying that. you're lining floyds pockets for a fight he's only taking because he thinks he can dominate gatti without trying, you're gonna pay to see that? well suit yourself. :) i am not..ill just d/l a vid the next day, or catch it the next week. i did that with tyson/mcbride, and was thoroughly excited watching the fight, knowing it wasnt live.

think about it..why feed a **** talking woman beating little ***** that was dazed by weak corely(jk i respek mw, hes a great fighter.)

They still do that in Boston? Its illegal now for sports bars to show a PPV event ... its considered distribution. I would call around first to make sure a place is definately showing it before you get assed out and end up watching Tuesday Night Fights on OnDemand.

This is the best weekend of fighting I can ever remember. Floyd/Gatti on saturday and on sunday PRIDE Critcal Countdown has the best and deepest MMA tournement ever put together.

I want to see Rua vs Rogerio as bad as I want to see Floyd/Gatti.

The sports bar will charge a 'cover-charge' of about $10-15, so it isn't illegal because they buy the ppv event for, I've heard up to $5000.

they can do it if they have a cover charge. if they get the fight they have to pay for the amount of seats they have. i mean even still they make money cause there is plenty more standing room and they can charge a lower price.

couldnt the bar itself just order the ppv? then charge large amounts for a door cover or whatever..

it was 20 bucks at the door for the tyson golata fight years back but i got in free. they were showing it at a place that i used to frequent. i wasn't really that interested in the fight. not really a tyson fan. i'm not really a bar person anymore but i guess if i was tight on cash i would go to one to see it cheaper. i'd just have to drink water all night.

yeah but if you live in phoenix, like the rest of the US, you gotta wait to July 1st to actually watch Pride Critical Countdown....

as for me, i just bought the Tyson fight and feel like i spent 45-50$ to be depressed...so im gonna check this fight out later and save my money for Pride CC and Bushido 8! (plus Taylor/Hopkins....MAN PPV COSTS SO MUCH!!!)

sometimes we get the big fights on sky over here, we do pay 45 quid a month for cable tbv though (bout 80 bucks) so its not exactly free.

its only occasional and sometimes we dont get them at all or a wekk late, friday night we get Tarver johnosn for example.

I dont get that..if the bar orders it and pays for it, it shouldnt matter how many people end up watching. It's almost the same as inviting friends over to watch. Theyre gonna buy booze anyway so it's business as usual.
I get what theyre *****ing about...all these extra peeps getting to watch for one payment only, but like I siad, it's not much different from having friends over to watch.

That's why it's NOT like inviting friends over to watch. The bar is making money by showing the PPV (from food and liquor sales) and HBO PPV wants a piece of the action.

no thats not true at the moment, we get fight once a week on fridays usually since hatton won its gone ape****, we had 6 hrs of boxing last week on one channel. we get aobut 4 hrs a week on eurosport but its dull stuff most the time, another few hours on channel 4 and 5 at silly o clock onthe morning but you could tape it if you can be bothered.

Its getting better with Amir khan turning pro warne has moved to IV a terrestrial channel so no we actually get competetive brit title fights on sky for achange rather than some spurious alphabet belt. the game is on the up in the uk.

and can people STOP going on about hattopn fouling for gods sake, your allowed to clinch and if youy wanna talk about rabbit punching check the clinch in the 7th when kostya smacks hatton 6 times in the back the head as the ref is calling break.Hit him 3 times low beofre hatton retaliated.

got that the wrong way round hey. FM was awesome at the weekend.

his best perfomance by a country mile, i was a bit shicked by Gatti, standing off floyd and with sucha wide stance, played right into his hands he need to drag him into the trenches not box him form 5 feet away.

takes nothing away from FM though, he was excellent. If hatotn fights FM at madision sqaure G, ill be there.
