View Full Version : I have a suggestion
bubba1 12-05-2004, 07:12 PM For the real hardcore boxing fanatics, how about we bring back the Clean Cut board and make a post count for entry. You can read the posts but cant post there unless you have 100 posts. Also no verbal childish fights in there, just straight boxing talk.
That'd be great and I'd really appreciate it.
I've asked for the "Clean Cut Boxing" board the day I entered the new forum.

Soundtraveler 12-05-2004, 08:20 PM Relax, it's just words on a screen, besides I think some people can only voice themselves in a harsh manner by typing, as they would most likely get their butt stomped if they actually said anything as harsh to someones' face!
Most of these posts are made by people who can't actually throw down, but they can be anybody they want to be - or wish they were - on the internet.

You have a point but I really dunno care why they voice themselves in a harsh manner. It's annoying me that they do. Sometimes I just wanna have a good discussion with some knowledgeable boxing fans and it's really annoying if that isn't possible anymore because some idiots who haven't seen a full fight their whole life get in the way.

You got mail.
jack_the_rippuh 12-05-2004, 09:05 PM People like changing subjects on threads and one thing leads to another and there is a verbal fight..

That's a good suggestion and rational too but we can't avoid the fact that some poster like being abused verbally. Maybe they are sadomasochist or something so a Clean Cut board is one way of gatting rid of them. 100 posts is too much though. I say we lower it down to 50.

i agree with S-traveler, there's nothing u can do to keep idiots out, it'll just force them to spam the board until they rack up 100 posts and then come in an aggravate u. Just do what i do, i have a couple of idiots on ignore, and i've been happy ever since. If we value rock and roll and freedom of speech, there's always gonna be someone who disgrees with us ( rather violently, in some cases ). Just ignore the ****ers, that's what they hate the most

this kind of opinion never fails to make me laugh
its funny how everyone pictures evryone else on the net as ballsless nerds that wouldnt say **** they here in real life
except themselves
they are always the exceptions
julDilla 12-06-2004, 03:29 AM we can have CLEAN CUT BOXING closely moderated by Me rich Rick ;)

Okay, my karma is behaving today, and I'll get to as many of these people as it'll let me...I owe you all some karma back:
Yoko, Jack the rippuh, Itlog, Kepsy, jomapac, borikua, ultimate, exciterx, trinidad, abdiel, pso junior, thrilla-manilla, hudson hawk, and Zhen. If some of you sent karma when mine was messed up and the control panel ran out of room (and youre not mentioned) just let me know. I'll get busy with this now!
Bombardier 12-06-2004, 11:45 AM Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between the Clen Cut Boxing forum you guys are talking about and the boxing forum that already exists? Was there a moderator actively cutting out posts?
This might be a good idea, but I agree that it is difficult to shut out troublemakers completely. I got out of ESB when it started to turn into nothing but a bunch of narrow-minded obnoxious jerks. Once people get to know about a forum they migrate to it en masse (which makes me one of the flock that arrived here recently, I guess).

bull****!!! i never said that, but i hear people say stupid things all the time, and i believe if we're gonna say we believe in freedom of speech we have to let people say whatever the **** they want
