Ok this is the new event down in Key West, Florida. Now this promoter (Paul Domenech) has a great thing at hand. Combine an out door show, Key West, and great fights.

The event took place in the East Martillo Fort, they used the outdoor area which seated about 700 people and another 300 standing, a lot more can ba accomodated for the future. Yes it rained for about 40 minutes before the show but it just made the afternoon much cooler and confortable, the ring got dried up and ready with the show.

The first fight was Marcos "Machine" Oliveira vs. Sean Thompson, damn this boys are BIG. Sean landed a good upercut, but Marcos was able to take him down for some actually active G&P, he passed guard adn landed some knees to the body. When Sean turned to defend the knees Marcos cought him with a tight kimura and mounted, Sean was not going to tap so Marcos gave the kimura up and followed with punches for the stop.

Congrats to Marcao on his wina nd Sean for stepping up to the plate.

Second fight of the night was Matt Dorsten and "A huge looking guy from Ultimate Wolfpack". This fight was very entertaining both guys landed some big strikes and even on a take down tehy broke the ropes of the ring. After a small wait and some ring fixing from the guys at www.rentaring.com the fight carried on to the end for a majority draw. Don't think that this fight was boring I've never seen so many subs adn escapes and strikes from to guys at the smae time. Great fight!!!

Then we had an exibition match between Andre "Gigeto" Soares and Cole Miller. The match was very technical from both guys but Gigeto after pulling guard was able to stand again and take Miller down with a nice double leg, he worked to pass guard adn knee on the the stomach. shortly after he mounted and work to take his back with no avail there. Miller was able to get Gigeto of him and tried a triangle and a heel hook for Gigeto to pass once again and try a footlock, Miller replaced guard and time ran out. It was an agreement to make it a draw, since the boxing commission still was overseing the event and they do not have a grappling scoring system only.

Then and exibition grappling match between ATT/BTT black belt Rafel Dias and Shooto Americas Champ "JZ" Calvalcante.

The hard packed action continued with Emyr "Shark" Bussade vs. Patrick Hans. HOLYCOW!!! This guys came to bang. There was a small exange and Emyr was able to take Patrick down , Emyr mounted and here is where the action took place. I've never seen someone move or throw punches from the bottom like Patrick, he even cought Emyr enough times to give him a cut and nice black eye, Emyr soften him up with more punches to set an arm bar and get the tap. Congrats to Shark on his win and Patrick.

Last fight of the night was Luigi Fioranvanti from Simas JJ vs. "Another Russian trained by Renzo" sorry I forgot his name. Sorry on this one but I don't have a lot of details since I was doing some running around. But I think Luigi won on a ref Stoppage.

Paul and Ben did a great job, like every event there where some last minute emergencies that cut a lot of the fights, but the event still ran and it was a ton of fun. Huge beer truck provided by Coors, Capt. Morgan drinks provided by Fat Tuesdays, Chow "food" provided by LAzy Geeko (I think), gm ves and shirts provided by www.bloodbrothersusa.com and an over all great experience.

I'm looking forward to be at the next event!!!!
