Poor Farve...He's certainly seen better days. I hope for his sake that he retires at the end of this season.

Yes, baby.

This Philadelphian loved what he saw yesterday.
The Eagles' biggest liabilty has been their run defense. That problem has seemingly been taken care of.

With McNabb, Owens, & my boy Brian Westbrook on the offense....they should cruise on into Jacksonville.

But.....that's where I lose faith. As good as the Eagles are, the Patriots are just near-perfect.
The Steelers already demolished both the Eagles & New England....so they make me nervous as well.

I'm not worried about Indy....their defense blows. This will kill them in the playoffs.

Hey, thanks to the Eagles and the Vikes choking, my Bears actually have an outside shot of making the post-season :D .

Eagles are definitely the Superbowl favourites at this point. Indy' defence is still suspect, the Pats have injuries and the Steelers are due for a fall.

Nah...The Steelers are due a Super Bowl...too many yrs with Tommy Maddox at the helm. We fans deserve it for putting up with him all this time. ;)

I set Pats/Colts equal to Hopkins/Tito. One is the complete package who is technically sound on all fronts, and they own the other team (Pats/Hop), and the other is a rediculous offensive force with many holes in its defense (Tito/Colts). Once the Pats get their friggin corners back they will be unstoppable.

The Eagles really should have no problems with anyone in the NFC. I thought that the Seahawks would stand up to them but I guess not anymore. Westbrook is a stud, their D-line is the best in the league outside of a healthy Carolina D-Line, and they got Trotter back. Eagles will put up a spirited game...but I think the Pats will beat the Iggles 24-17 in the Super Bowl.

When did the Eagles choke ?
11-1, with their lone loss being an out of conference game.....

Hey, you had an ex-XFL MVP at the helm and you're complaining? :D

I wouldn't mind seeing the Steelers take it, but their last few wins have been way too close. I know Jacksonville is a real spoiler but a Superbowl-bound team should be able to handle them pretty easily. Seems like they peaked with the Pats and Eagles wins and now everyone's wise to them.

Still, I could be wrong. I could see them beating Indy easy and the Pats are beatable this year. And if they make the final, the Eagles are still notorious playoff losers, which might still come back to haunt them.

The run D has been adressed with Trotter back on his game and Simon getting hot. I think they just put way too much pressure on the QB, so those corners (who actually are playing quite well) dont have to do as much.

The Steelers are tough on both sides of the ball but Big Ben can't take the kind of heat that will come to him in the playoffs. Indy will outgun with Steelers and the Pats will shut em down.

I meant that thanks to the Eagles beating the Packers the Bears have a shot. The Packers loss means the Bears are one game closer to them

You read what I wrote the wrong way, I think (or I wrote it the wrong way :D ).

My intense dislike of Maddox goes BACK to the XFL! Last night they couldnt get going offensively...but Duce Staley just got back on the field, so I'm hoping with some practice he'll get warmed back up and start racking up those running yd's again. He seemed to stall and sputter. They will definately have to do much better on offense in the future...but from what I hear its all about home field advantage right now. That would be a hugh bonus to them to play in Steeler land (hopefully) ;)

You also forget that we've lost 4 superbowls and never won any! And losing 41 nuthin in the championship game to the giants and getting knocked out of the playoffs on the last play of the season last year against phoenix after starting the season 6 and 0... Uh Oh, now I'm started! I'm trying to forget!!! :D

I hate the Eagles, but I don't really feel bad for the Packers. They had a nice run.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Steelers in the SB but I don't think they will beat the Patriots in the playoffs.

As long as the Eagles don't win it all I don't really care.

I was referring to a curse of some sort by the way... The way we lose just seems like we are cursed!
