Kimmy 12-05-2004, 05:22 PM Don`t hold me to this but i think i read somewhere he re - located camp to Las vegas, could be wrong but i think it is. Tyson'scolon 12-05-2004, 07:23 PM I think that's when he hooked up with Aaron Snowell, I think. Mr. Violence 12-06-2004, 04:00 AM I think it was with arron snowell then after he lost to douglas his team hired rich giacetti realtim 12-06-2004, 09:55 AM That's what happened he didnt train much. He trained when he wanted to train and messed about the rest of the time. ejk22 12-06-2004, 09:57 AM After he left Rooney he stopped training. Notice that's when his trouble's began. cmason 12-06-2004, 10:16 AM after rooney he trained in vegas with aaron snowell, a friend from the catskills. Yogi 12-06-2004, 10:27 AM After he left Rooney he stopped training. Notice that's when his trouble's began. I noticed Tyson's troubles started as a teenager, when he was caught trying to fondle a young girl and almost got his head blown off by Teddy Atlas. Or when Jimmy Jacobs had to pay out some "hush money" to the family of a young girl who lived up in the Catskills, who Tyson had sexually assaulted in his amateur boxing days. Or even earlier than that, when as a young boy Tyson would go around beating up and robbing the elderly. Tyson ALWAYS had his "troubles", and with or without Kevin Rooney, he would've continued to do so. So don't blame Rooney for Tyson's downfall, as he had absolutely nothing to do with it. All the blame should go on the only man whose responsible...Mike Tyson! From watching the Tyson movie about his life and reading the books about his life, it seems to me that part of the problem is that no one ever taught him right from wrong. thats what happens when one doesnt have a father or mother figure. when he was adopted off the streets he was put straight into the boxing gym.....where SUPPOSEDLY Rooney and Cuz would just turn a blind eye whenever Mike screwed up out in society. That is part of the problem. But I agree with you, ultimately Mike Tyson is responsible for his own actions. simeraksou 12-06-2004, 07:46 PM We gotta be lenient on tyson. if we grew up the way he did, there would be a much higher chance that we would be as messed up or more messed up than he is. his achievements are pretty amazing considering the terrible environment that he grew up in Soundtraveler 12-07-2004, 12:50 AM You mean he trained after Rooney? Wow - it didn't show. Mr. Violence 12-07-2004, 03:55 AM You mean he trained after Rooney? Wow - it didn't show. too bad he didnt stay with rooney. we'd be saying he was in the top 3 greatest of all time if he stayed with rooney cause he would have went down a different path. Great 12-07-2004, 06:10 AM Refusal of work with Kevin - one of the biggest mistakes of Mike in his life. Hunna 12-07-2004, 06:18 AM At the moment, i think hes with freddie Roach. foremanfan 12-07-2004, 06:04 PM after rooney he trained in vegas with aaron snowell, a friend from the catskills. Tim Witherspoon once described him as some kind of gym rat. Always hanging around but you never quite knew why. drh 12-07-2004, 06:14 PM Evander is quoted as saying no one could or would work as hard as Mike in his early days. Evander says Mike was his inspiration. (it's on evanders site) I think there's no more petrol tickets though. |
