I just found out my wife purchased tickets for this Sunday's Yankees-Cubs game at the Stadium. My dad lives pretty close to NYC and we are going to visit him Saturday and go swimming. Then I will take everyone out for an awsome steak or Italian dinner. Then Sunday we'll head into the city and check out the game. I want to get there early to do the tour of monument park if possible.

What have you guys got planned for your pops? Perhaps you are a dad...what are your plans?

I live in NY and am watching the Yanks-Cub cab now on TV.. Enjoy the game and the Yankees.. the greatest franchise in the history of sport.. There is a great resteraunt called Rossinni's on 58th and Park.. Top notch food if youre around the midtown area.. Have fun

Hey, thank you my friend. I love the Yankees too. I'll check out Rossinni's if I get the chance.

Yeah, I live in Chicago, so... go Cubs? Nah, what the hell, let's go with the winners, GO YANKEES! No? Okay...

Anyhow, I'm working. I work 9-5 Sunday, and will probably be too hot, tired, and sweaty to do anything.

Hey what part of Chi town do you live in.. My girlfriend just moved there there.. Right by the Navy Pier.. Did you know anything about that gym that Kendall Gill works out at? Jabbboxing.com!! It looks good but really expensive.. Do you know any good gyms to train at when Im in Chicago that are around the Navy Pier area ?

I firmly believe that ALL Yankee fans are fairweather fans. They've never had to deal with a losing season, so you can't prove otherwise. Until I see the Yankees lose a lot for a while, I assume my statement is correct. (I don't like baseball in general, but say I like the Yankees to piss people off, because it's funny how riled up they get.)

Nah man you should root for your team. I've seen a few games at Wrigley. It was awsome. Although the nets overhead to catch falling chunks of concrete was a bit disconcerting. lol :D

Hey you aren't a father are you BadMagick? You shouldn't forget your pops on father's day. At least buy him a card and a sixpack of his favorite beer.

Im a lifelong Yankee fan , it really sucks to see their demise.. Steinbrenner just throws money at them and thinks that will make them win.. Thats not what made them a great franchise.. Historically theyve always had great scouting and top notch farm clubs.. Back in 2000 their farm system was ranked number 1, now according to Baseball America it's 17th!! It was the guys with character like Tino, Brosius, and Oneill that won them the titles and made them great!! How I desire for the Yankees of old

Hey bro that's not a fair assessment. I have been a Yanks fan since 1970, when I was 3. Anyway the years between 1981 and 1994 were pretty lean. And in 1990 they were the worst team in the league. My loyalty to them was never in question though. **** it. You can't win every year. I'm sure as a Cubs fan you understand that. :D Nah the Cubs will have their day. Don't lose faith.

all of a sudden its a crime to have a good memory..ever think your memory is simply gimped, and thats why you can't remember anything?

i remember all kinds of ****, especially off the wall excuses, like someone saying the reason they dont box or train at a gym is because they live too far away from one.

I lived 45 minutes from Chicago for 14 years. I moved out here six months ago. Wow, that's really hard to get, isn't it?

EDIT: Also, I always claim Chicago as my home town for two reasons: A) I was born there, so it really is, B) it's the largest city in Illinois, and the only one, aside from Springfield, anyone has heard of, assuming they aren't from Illinois.

You have a great rack though, and that is much more important. :D

BTW, My father's day was great!!! We swam and hung out at my Dad's pool. Cooked out for lunch. Wen't out to Morton's for Steak and Lobster. Then went to see a movie. On Sunday we saw the Yanks complete their sweep of the Chicago Cubs. And finished off by getting an awesome Father's Day BJ. :D
