Where is all the Lacy fans? I am new to the board but he is my new favorite fighter now that Tyson is gone. What can you guys tell me about him i have only saw him fight a few months ago, but i love him as a boxer. Any other Lacy fans here?

His main attribute are really his STAMINA and agressiveness and he has a pretty good chin as well. However he did not look exceptioinally dominating against Rubin Williams or Syd Vanderpool. His one punch punching power is really quite overrated. He is a good body and volume puncher. He is a pretty solid pressure fighter basically.

If Lacy had more accuracy with his punches he maybe could be a devastating one punch knock out artist, but he does lack accuracy with his punches. If he improves on that he could be really good. He still has time to improve, he is young with only 19 pro fights.

Im becoming a fan. I saw his last two fights and I found him entertaining. I read somewhere that he wanted to fight hopkins, but I think it will be better for him to be brought up slowly.

I think Joe Calzaghe would give Lacy a severe KO

I love Jeff Lacy I think he is one of the next superstars in Boxing, No one can beat him at 168 right now, maybe not even 175 we will see.

I like watching him fight. I enjoy watching aggressive fighters like that. He has decent punching power but not quiet and explosive as Tyson did.

If Lacy ever steps in the ring with Calzaghe he will be getting KTFO. I doubt this will happen though as I fully expect Robin Reid to beat Lacy in August.

At this point in time Lacy is too inexperienced for Kessler. After a couple of fights against top quality opponents like Reid, Lacy should be ready, and Kessler vs. Lacy should be made.

JC will knock Lacey about like he destroyed Mitchell. Mitchell was humuliated in the second round. I expect Calzaghe to KO Lacey. No question.

calzaghe has alot of acurracy with his combonation punches but I don't think that will save him from Lacy, I think Calzaghe will find himself on the canvas like in the Mitchel fight but this time he won't be getting up.

I think Calzaghe looked hurt against Mitchell, but i consider Mitchell a better boxer and puncher than Lacy, the only thing Lacy has which is better than Mitchell is his aggression. Maybe his chin is better but i havent seen him take a shot from a puncher yet.

Calzaghe did look hurt against Mitchell but he did what any boxer would do. Switch on the natural instinct and KO the man. If Lacy does put Calzaghe down he has to make sure its a very very good shot or he will go down himself within minutes.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Joe C. pull out of the Lacy fight. They're supposed to fight when Lacy beats Reid (when, not if) but Joe C. pulls out of fights more often than God's name is invoked.

Lacy is too young, fresh, and determined for a guy like Reid at this point. Lacy is looking at what beating Reid will get him, as Reid is widely considered top 2-3 at 168. Beating Reid opens up the flood gates for Lacy, and Lacy will not be denied.

It would be a great fight. I think Calzaghe is a smarter fighter, but Lacy is a little more talented.

If I had to pick at that level, I'd pick intelligence over talent, so I'd have to say that the fight is Calzaghe's to win or lose. I don't see Lacy being able to change his game as much as Calzaghe.

No no no, not like that at all. I think Kessler could be pretty good, we'll see. I'm just saying in response to another poster who said Kessler has distinguished himself as a better fighter than Reid at 168 is wrong. Reid is more experienced and a more polished resume at this point. Reid is more polished than Lacy or Kessler and more than most 168 lbers. 168 is nothing special in general, which makes it even more baffling that this guy would try to say those young unproved fighters is more established and better than Reid.

Also...no Kessler has not really done anything more than Lacy. Nothing either man has done clearly places one above the other. Not yet.
