View Full Version : judah/mosley... a perfect fit for shane?
`STEELHEAD 06-13-2005, 04:45 PM even tho shane looked like he was stiff and lacked confidents against estrada.
even tho the new and improved zab looked focused and beat a not that powerfull spinx.
the two inch heighth and reach advantage of mosley could come into play. judah is faster but definitely lacks power. mosley still isnt on top of his game but has power and speed.
i think this matchup would bring the best out of mosley.look at all the rounds mosley won against winky. and winky is a better, stronger and smarter boxer than zab.
not to say that if zab can stay focused the whole twelve rounds and can somehow stay away from shanes power that he could out point shane.
but i just don't see how zab could hurt mosley. mosley has a great chin. zab, well there's questions there.
at 147 i got to go with mosley. zab will have to go back down to 140 after he faces a margarito or mosley.
MAXWELL_ 06-13-2005, 05:03 PM both fighters get hit. mosley takes it better than judah. i don't see judah's speed or power being able to neutralize shane.
but i agree that since zab is on top of his game and shane isn't zab could somehow get a sd.

bigdlb12 06-13-2005, 05:12 PM I could not believe how good mosley did vs winky in the 2nd fight, when has anyone gotten a close dicision vs winky I maybe wrong but I think it was 115-113 for winky
LuKahnLi 06-13-2005, 05:22 PM Oh yeah. Shane would kill Zab. Zab being Welterweight champ makes it easy for Shane to regain the championship.

wow, whos those boxers in that clip of yours? is he that european boxer.his name starts with an M? that punch was loaded and right on the button.that great
norbak1258 06-13-2005, 05:26 PM This would be a fight that i would love to see, my money is on shane :~)
sisforshaq 06-13-2005, 05:37 PM Shane would beat Zab, close fight I believe it woul dbe but id put my money on Shane
Truth 06-13-2005, 05:43 PM I think Mosley is a shot fighter...
`STEELHEAD 06-13-2005, 06:08 PM I think Mosley is a shot fighter...
did mosley look shot in winkyII ? or do you mean against estrada. i know he's been a different fighter since the forest beatdown. and he wasn't his usual style against dlh.( balco shakes?). but even, using your words "mosley is a shot fighter" i still see him beating the weaker zab.
mic573 06-13-2005, 06:48 PM Judah beats Mosley in my opinion. Winky allowed Shane to be in that second fight and still convincingly beat him. In the first fight Winky shut everything Mosley did down. Shane didn't even look near impressive against Estrada the way he should of. I think Zab has the speed and power to beat Shane. I was never really sold on Mosley's big power at 147 either.
Judah by decision.
SUPER ZAB FAN 06-13-2005, 07:09 PM Once again ,someone has made a thread that has inaccurately portrayed the Future of the welterweight division .
Obviously someones on crack making the comment that Zab Judah lacks power when everyone knows that is one thing he has , and that is power . Mosley at one time was my favorite fighter , but back 2 back losses to Vernon Forrest and sub par performances in higher weight classes . Has made me come to believe that he isnt the fighter he used to be . HE will still be one of my all time favorites , but at Welterweight in 2005 he has no chance against Zab , but maybe that bum margarito

super fan you should cut back on the go fast. your're suffering from dillusions. mosleys gotten hit by a lot harder punches than judah can throw. at 147 i can barely see judahs' boxing skill getting him a SD against margarito or mosley.
SUPER ZAB FAN 06-13-2005, 08:12 PM I suppose , but he has never faced someone who was faster then him as well as stronger . He lacks experience when fighting people who are faster then him because he is usually faster then his opponents . Judah wins both of those fights
Shane did look stiff against Estrada but I think he would beat Judah...but this would be an awesome fight :D

lacks power? i dont think so
SUPER ZAB FAN 06-13-2005, 11:24 PM I dont know whats he was thinking saying that Zab Lacked Power .
HE must be new to Boxing , or maybe just the welterweight Division.

i think this matchup with mosley would bring the old mosley of the past back. he wouldn't have to worry about being hurt by judahs piuny power punches and he could show off his speed and let his hands go with few worrys from judahs weak retaliations.
onetwopunch 06-14-2005, 12:58 AM Shane has not been the same since he moved up in weight..i think the DLH and Forrest fights took alot out of him..I want to see how he looks at 147 again..if he recovers his speed I would go with him over Zab.

man, you and zab super judah... i honor your opinions. but on paper and quality of opponents mosley wins hands down. and mosley taking those rematches without any tuneups should be a primer on what not to do with ones boxing carrier.
but tell me how does judah hurt mosley. can he out box mosley like winky did. can he wack mosley hard like forrest did?...how
The Fix 06-14-2005, 01:29 AM slick southpaw = loss for sugar shane
judah is in his prime right now as well, judah KO's shane late
Zab Super Judah 06-14-2005, 01:38 AM i dont think anyone cna really ko mosley at welterweight..forrest hit mosley with the best shot and dropped him but did not ko him
The Fix 06-14-2005, 01:53 AM i dont think anyone cna really ko mosley at welterweight..forrest hit mosley with the best shot and dropped him but did not ko him
this version of shane look vulnerable imo.....
plus zab is fighting well right now, have some faith in your boy

man, you and zab super judah... i honor your opinions. but on paper and quality of opponents mosley wins hands down. and mosley taking those rematches without any tuneups should be a primer on what not to do with ones boxing carrier.mosleys only lost to two boxers.
but tell me how does judah hurt mosley. can he out box mosley like winky did, i conseed theres a chance if he can stay away from his power but judah has always been hittable,...like mosley. can he wack mosley hard early like forrest did? sorry but who has judah fought that is on the level of mosleys foes? if you say spinx because he outboxed the puncher mayorga who beat forrest i can't concede. spinx flat out out boxed the puncher mayorga and has a decent chin himself, altho if you hold to that point i wont question it.
i would like specifics and no pipe dream statements.
IwatchBoxing 06-14-2005, 02:11 AM I would pick Zab Judah to win, I dont think Mosley has it in him to win that fight, Zabs too fresh right now, and Sugars too rusty, career ending UD.
`STEELHEAD 06-14-2005, 03:29 AM i dont think anyone cna really ko mosley at welterweight..forrest hit mosley with the best shot and dropped him but did not ko him
thanks zab super judah. i am of the same opinion. mosley servived that punch looking jerkymotioned like when foreman knocked frazier and norton silly and out... but mosley survived and finished the fight.
onetwopunch 06-14-2005, 03:34 AM If Mosely is quick again like he use to be at 147 He could be Zab just becuase he has a better chin. He took DLH's best shots and Forrest so im sure he will eat Zabs left no problem.
SUPER ZAB FAN 06-14-2005, 03:45 AM Look at the 2 names you just mentioned ? VErnon Forrest only big win was over Shane Mosley . Kosta Beat His A** in the Amateaurs , and he beat a prime Mosley . He lost To Mayorga twice and since has fell off the earth. DLH was beat by Mosley so does that mean DLH wouldnt have been knocked out by Forrest ?Zab Will hurt Mosley in the fight guranteed
DiegoFuego 06-14-2005, 03:48 AM Judah would beat the **** out of Mosley for 12 rounds
`STEELHEAD 06-14-2005, 05:49 AM slick southpaw = loss for sugar shane

slick southpaw?? more slicker than winky wright??give me a break.
judah in his prime? not proven. just because he beat a weak welterweight beltholder spinx.
judah goes and stays down at 140 he could rule...? that is if he stays away from corrales as he makes his way up to 147.
czars_salad 06-14-2005, 06:20 AM if shane trims down back at welter, he may regain his speed and might give zab a great boxing match.
but i think this is zab's time to shine ;)
dodge 06-14-2005, 06:21 AM This fight is too close to call for me. I wouldn't bet on either fighter.

I think your estimation of Judah is just wrong imo and that Mosley would have a terribly tough fight versus Zab but I am a fan of Mosley's and not having seen his fight with Estrada would definitely be pullin for him to beat Zab. Not bettin on him, pullin for him.
So, you think Zab has no power? Hmmm ....

i honor your opinion that mosley would have a terrible tough fight verses judah.
in response to "so you think zab has no power". about zabs power at 147. has zab shown any power at 147? there has been spots against cosme, spinks, wayne martell, rafeal pineda. he's shown limited power against these guys some second tier, although spinks does have a good chin.
but mosleys solid chin. and winning many rounds against the bigger than zab, more powerfull than zab, craftyer than zab, tito beating...gentleman lefty winky wright.
its' so close that the two inch reach and heighth advantage (and those will be crisp hard punching inches)... of mosley will make me lean heavily on mosley in this speedsters race because thats what i see it turning into.
this fight could bring the best out of mosley.right up his alley.
TheBrownBomber22 06-14-2005, 08:40 AM I'd go with Mosley, he's not done yet!!

Mosley needs to show his boxing skills against Zab. Against Estrada he was hit with many punches that he shouldn't have been hit with. If that was Zab in the ring that night Mosley would been in trouble. The only reason he wasn't in trouble against Estrada was because he was quicker than Estrada. He won't be quicker than Judah. If Mosley fights a disciplined fight then he could outbox Judah in a close fight. If Mosley comes in thinking he will run through Judah then he will be very surprised.
Based on Mosley's last fight I say Judah by decision.
mosley size will be the deciding factor . mosley is now a big 147 pounder , judah still looks like a blown up lightweight to me .
judah has power at 147 , but not enough to get mosley respect , who has a world class chin (only forest knocked him down , and forrest at the time had one of the nastyest right hand in the game).
i see mosley putting too much pressure using superior size and strenght and stoping judah after 8 or 10 competitive rounds .
but if judah has time to physicaly mature , i may change my mind
