I just think its funny how thats become the new thing to do. Its like if you can't sell, come out with a sequel to your best album. Im not hating on these artists, for example, Im a raekwon fan. But its just funny to me...

now ja rules come out with veni vetti vechi 2010. lol

Stillmatic was a classic.

Not many other artists will be able to deliver such consistantly good material though

for some reason though, I don't look at stillmatic as a illmatic 2 type of thing. Technically I guess you could make the argument thats what it was, but atleast Nas came with a fresh cd. Its not like he made the cd with the intent to copy Illmatic musically.

For the record, Im not dissing all rappers who make sequels to past albums. Blackout 2 is one of my favorite cds over the last few years. I loved cuban linx 2. Im just saying it seems like everybody is copying Raekwon now and doing sequels. And I think its funny..

It's just a title, I'm not even sure how one could have a sequel to an album. There can't be anything essentially linking them other than thematic content.

Depends how you look at it....If their style has changed since the original then, why not?

I'd like Snoop to do a Doggystyle 2 with Dre but will never hap.

Cronic2000 was nothing like the original.

yeah Truth
i mad notice that
i think its just a way to get the public excited about more classic material that never ends up actually being more classic material.
it's a way to ensure that sales will be high and i think it's a huge cop out.
