i recently found out light heavyweight wayne alexander is from my town.

i was wondering what you people thought about him and his potential to be a great champ as hatton apparently told him he could be. he already holds a minor belt but hopes to expand on it.

do you think he can?

hes actually a light middleweight and a Croydon lad

he has a poor defence but a clubbing right hook, he has a punchers chance

was schooled by Harry Simon though

ahh sorry i meant to type middleweight but had a freudian slip cos i was thinking contender should redo a series trying to make the heavyweight division worth watching

and ye he still talks to the local papers every few weeks

his defence is awful and he tends to stalk people looking for the big punch which ill admit is huge...he was having a tough time on the hatton-tszyu undercard till a booming shot knocked the **** out of some top 20ish guy

is he always light middle, someone mentioned to me he was a weight class lower at one stage and id say he could make it...

he has no chance imo against people with strong, smart defences

as I mentioned when he stepped up in classed he got his ass handed to him by Simon

however he did take that fight on 2 weeks notice

i saw he knocked the guy out in the 5th as he predicted

won first two rounds 3rd and 4th were close and KO in 5th

his face was swollen a lot though
