Running is bad for your knees, very bad.. Try to run on grass if at all possible.. A great exercise for full body cardio is mountain biking.. It works everything. Even your upper body will be sore, abdominals are worked very much going up hill as well as shoulders and arms.. Stay away from road cycling as youll get no upper body work

Yeah it is but lots of people knew that and know it because of training not because of Rocky.

If you have bad kness then take a swim. If you don't have bad kness stick to the running and jump roping. Try running up stairs or an hill. Don't trip like Clint Barmes though

Good idea is to occasionally mix up your cardio routines and exercises. It really challenges the body

You want endurance which swimming is good, do every once a week or every other. But you get no explosiveness, footwork, or timing down that you can with the rope or running wise. That's why I prefer those two over swimming, it's no replacement for the former two.

Good thing about swimming is it forces you to control your breathing if your doing it right. Control over your breathing comes in handy when you get tired. For best cardio I'd have to with running though.

Swimming is great and the risk of being injured is almost non-existent. Try to swim in intervals of 2 or 3 min with 30s rest in between. Also, you can swim for longer distances. This will help to improve your cardio more.

Swimming is great combined with running. It exercises and expands your lung capacity so when you fight or spar you won't feel worn out after 2-3 rounds. Aside from the cardio that swimming gives Those little sleeping corner muscles that you have will benefit from it too by further developing their strengths.

I have nothing against swimming. I improves cardio but only when you have.

The guy is out of shape for 2 years, no workouts. I start with the running and once you get inshape, then add the swimming. The swimming is horrible for weight loss and immediate improvement in stamina. It's more of a long term thing, icing on the top, for improving long term stamina and cardio.
Reasoning is
1.)anaerobic workout. It will take longer to improve stamina to a decent level. You want Aerobic to get in shape fast. You ever hear see boxers swim to lose weight or get into shape. No, it's for cardio after you are in shape. Thats why the champs Slipx mention did it. I know the reasoning because i got it 2nd hand from Marvin
2.) You are lying down in water flapping like fish. What real world application other than swimming does it have. You are in water and thats bad for build strength needed for boxing.

Stamina-Thats why the champs Slipx mention did it. I know the reasoning because i got it 2nd hand from Marvin

they did it for punch power too..thats why every picture you see of them in the water is them shadowboxing underwater, ali shadowboxing underwater in the picture, tapia shadowboxing underwater on the boxing commercial, hagler (well all i saw of haglers swimming was a pool in his gym so i dont know that for sure)and as for hamed i only heard that he swam from a very reliable source, didnt see it

and if u notice tapia and ali had the best ****in jabs in the history of the sport

so im gonna go for a swim ;p
