You can use it to convert windows and other video to "VOB" files which is what is used to burn to DVD-R or DVD+R.

I assume when you say DVDR you mean DVD-R.

Just go to videohelp.com and you'll finds all the guides you need to convert anything. It will tell you what program(s) you need and how to use them.

ok i dl Nero. Does anybody have this program??? I cant seem to get it right, i need a DVDR right?? also most of my files are bigger than 4.7 which is the regular size for most dvdr.Can sumone tell me how i use the Nero program

Do i just insert a DVDR on my cd drive and press Burn when i place the file i want in the program??? Dont i need to do some coverting and other stuff???
