In order for him to restore his name not just as a fighter but as a human being and not a monster he must become undisputed champ with his new image! He has to do this for himself like George Formen did when he was shamed from losing to ali he had the dream and focus to win what he lost! I have a feeling Tyson will become Champion again and redeem his name.

If tyson dedicate himself to training and get rid of his self destructing ways thean he has a CHANCE to redeem himself. To unify all heavy weight titles? Realistically, I doubt it very much but I wish him all the luck. :)

I don't think he should bother.

He has his legacy as one of the hardest hitters of our time. He shouldn't hurt his career with a comeback attempt that could well fail.

He needs the cash. IRS are all over him.

On the topic at hand: he won't redeem himself from fighting McBride. I don't think he could ever redeem himself. Remember to redeem himself he has to dominate the division. I would really like to see him do it - but don't think its realistic.

svsv-Tyson hardly needs cash dont buy into the hype, the man is still out partying and put almost half a million down on a house and a recent article broke out that after a fight or 2 he will be completely out of debt. The whole bankrupt ordeal is just a way for people to pay and see him and Mike admits that. I cant support a fighter who is out to achieve nothing but make dollars and do nothing great in the process.

Tyrant-Aside from the elite few majority (like 80%) of Tysons fights have been tune ups. I give up on this man, but I do wish him to get another shot. ONLY BY EARNING IT.

I think he could possibly pick up a title, but he will never be undisputed again.

I am sure he could the thing is though is that he will he get that I am the baddest man mentality and after knocking out a few bums think he is invincible and train for **** again? Mike is notorious for this, a trainer shouldnt be afraid of there fighter. Fenech needs to sit down with Mike and tell him he is training for **** and he sucks and he needs to get motivated and work harder.

Spinks beat Mayorga, everyone expected Mayorga to knock him out. Spinks kept his distance and jabbed away at Mayorga. People are just pissed because Mayorga was neutralized and was drawn into a boxing fight and couldnt slug it out.

Judah vs Spinks 1 could have went either way and could have easily been ruled a draw. That fight was to close for comfort.

Is that Spinks fault the way the ref was? Abosultely not, Mayorga fought dirty and was frustrated and I believe the right fighter won that night.

None of Kings fighters earn there shots, Cory was brought in as a fall guy against Mayorga was expected to be knocked out and shoot Mayorga even higher. Cory took notice and had taken advantage of opportunity.

I understand where you are coming from but at the time Cory won the 147 title there wasnt really deep opposition and at the heavyweight level there are more deserving fighters then Tyson knocking out C level opponents.

I will be supporting Iron mike all the way. I also believe the same. He will be the savior of the heavy weight division. And once again the undisputed champion of the world. :boxing:

ppl said that tyson would walk over danny williams and look what happend. all i know about this fight is that it WONT go the distance. i wont be suprised if either man gets KOd. but if i had to pick, id say tyson.

I think Mike is going to win this fight. Im still skeptical though. Losing by knockout to Danny Williams was an odd occurence. Why did he lose to him? any answers?

does anyone buy this "knee thing". Because I dont. I think it was more of a mental problem.

Another question: How hard does he hit now? Does he still hit as hard as he used to? Does he still have the handspeed?

I would like some answers.

tyson is no foreman, i dont see tyson doing what foreman did, Tyson just needs a little bit of money, once he makes that he will be out for good.

NEWSFLASH:

TYSON IS A SHOT FIGHTER.

Seriously, his time is done. He's just fighting for the money. There is no way a 39-year-old Tyson will ever become champ. GIVE IT UP PEOPLE. Although I would like a Ruiz-Tyson. Just to see what happens lol.

See this is what is bad about Mike and the heavyweight division. The division has no other potential fighters who could ever elevate themselves to the level Tyson ever was and people still need to cling onto him because nothing new has came along since Mike Tyson. To many people rely on Mike Tyson and never went to give him up.

If Tyson is mentally focused and in shape he roll through McBride and has a good chance at beating some of the current HW champs (Ruiz or Byrd)....I would like to see Mike have a little success at the end of his career since at this point in time hes a freakshow more than a fighter...hopefully he can show his ability for one last run...it is really up to him though.

did you even see the fight? you can clearly SEE he ****ed his knee up...before that happened, he was toying with williams...

only thing stopping him from being undisputed is the time it takes to get a shot at all the champions, and Don King.

he can beat lamon brewster, he can beat john ruiz, and klitschko and byrd would probably be the hardest fights.

^I agree with you.

Tyson clearly snapped his knee they say it was a cause of to much weight training and pressure. Man when Tyson came out he came with a jab and he was really outboxing williams I believe Tyson would have knocked Danny out in the later rounds if his knee had not gone bad.

Don wants Tyson back, if Tyson would sign with Don he would retire rich again.

my idea of tyson redemption:

1. bring back and fight lennox and evander
2. take on vitali, brewster and byrd

If he can win all of them, he absolutely will redeem himself.

I tend to agree...McBride looks soft as hell. Haven't seen him fight and doubt that we will see very much of him ever.
