Kevin Mitchell's mouth-watering world-title fight will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports HD.

The unbeaten Brit will tackle explosive Aussie Michael Katsidis for the WBO Interim Lightweight title at Upton Park football ground on Saturday, May 15.

Mitchell, undefeated in 31 fights is a life-long West Ham fan, will top a sensational bill that also boasts Mike Tyson conqueror Danny Williams and exciting prospects James DeGale, Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders.

But all eyes will be on the main bout as the 25-year-old from Dagenham finally gets his crack at a world title after 31 fights without defeat - the longest current unbeaten record in British boxing.

He booked his chance with a brilliant boxing display last December to out-point Breidis Prescott, the hard-hitting Colombian who had blown Amir Khan away in just 54 seconds.

Mitchell is up against another explosive act this time in the shape of Katsidis. The Queenslander has lost just two of his 28 fights - to former world champions Joel Casamayor and Juan Diaz - while 21 of his 26 wins have come inside the distance, including a sensational battle with Graham Earl in 2007.

Sky Sports boxing commentator and former World Lightweight champion Jim Watt said: "Kevin Mitchell is one of the most exciting British boxers around but this will be his toughest fight yet.

"He will be bursting with pride when he walks out in front of his fans at Upton Park but he can't take Katsidis lightly. The Australian is as tough as they come and has fought world-class opponents, so I'm expecting fireworks.

Chief support will come in the shape of Williams' British Heavyweight title clash with the exciting Sam Sexton. Williams has said, win or lose, this will bring the curtain down on a memorable career, while the challenger is fresh from back-to-back wins over Martin Rogan.

The Upton Park crowd and Sky Sports HD viewers will also be treated to the latest chapter in the career of Olympic gold medalist DeGale, Gavin and Saunders. DeGale will be fighting Dudley's Sam Horton for the WBA International Super-Middleweight title.

Kevin Mitchell is the only boxer im aware that doesnt really care about money only legacy! he coulda went on sky box office for Khan vs Malignaggi card but doesnt, ledgend! He took 20% of the purse for this fight so Kats would fight in England Kats got 80%!!

****, 20%. So after Frank Warren gets his share he's not really gonna make anything, is he? But on the plus side he gets to fight in his favourite sport's clubs stadium in front of all his fans. And if that doesn't bring the best out of you then nothing will. So if Mitchell wins this fight there is a lot of money to be made in the future.

Tough fight though. Katsidis is a ****in warrior.

last time i doubted kevin mitchell's boxing ability, it cost me £20 so i wont do it again. he dispatched prescott with ease and i think he'll outpoint katsidis this time around. katsidis is one dimensional and mitchell has proven himself to be a very intelligent and disciplined fighter...

I like Mitchell but iv been a fan of Katsidis for awhile as i like the way he fights. Me and my mates met him in Vegas on the day of the Cotto - Pacquiao fight aswell and he came across as a decent fella. So il probably be rooting for Katsidis, just hope its a good fight.
