I have a buddy who is considering moving from Georgia and taking a new job in South Texas on the mexican border.

My question is this: He was saying that he's heard that strip bars in Mexico are pretty much hands on, anything goes as long as you have the cash. Is that true?

Second question: Are gringos in serious danger of being tossed in jail, robbed, beaten etc. in Mexican border towns?

What should he expect and/or be weary of when visiting Mexico.

What are the cool places to check out, and places to avoid?

haha. I live near the maquilas in south texas man. Tell your buddy to stay away from Matamoros. All I will say.

I live 5 miles from the border in south texas.

As far as strip bars are concerned.....correct. I was born, raised here.

Jefe lived 75 miles from me.

If you have money....you can bribe the federales in Mexico.

Places to avoid in Reynosa....are the red light districts..because people are poor. (matamoros) also. I spent 3 nights in jail there, and there were nothing but gavachos.

Have your friend go to the massage parlors.
In Juarez, where I grew up, you get a nice body rub/massage, blow, screw and just about anything you want for an hour, all done by a gorgeous 19 yr.old for $40.00.

We should hang out some time round1. When I get my liscense back from suspension....Ill drive up to El Paso. We'll have some beers. Should take me less than 9 hours.....If I haul ass like a bat out of hell.

Jefe lives in NY now.....or else I would kick it with him.

yeah and this happen over 20 years ago, my grandma is from Reynosa and she said it was bad there too, back then they had no running water so they digged holes to hold water, well she told me that one day as she went to the hole to get water she saw this coconut in the water, when she grab it, she saw it was the head of a man, I would have freaked out

You have all kinds, some dirty, drug addicts "Tecatas" to clean and pretty. Depends on the neighborhood, if you're going, ask the taxi drivers, they'll hook you right up.

Going to Mexico is no joke, they can smell you a mile away.
They know right away when you come from the states, they look at you like $$$$$ signs. Ive gotten in arguments with the cops over there a couple of times. I had to break em off anyway, mf's think money grows on trees over here. I tell em you gotta to work for your **** over here also.
Anyway I like going to Rosarito, never been to the strip bars though. There is a town named Puerto Nuevo were they sell fresh sea food and its very inexpensive. I eat about 20 crab tails with hand made tortillas and homemade refried beans. :D To top it off some very cold Coronitas and man I tell you when im done im ready for two things.

I dont know much about the border towns, but i would think the strip bar thing is correct, i mean it has been in strip joints i have visited in San Francisco bay area so i figure its the same everywhere.

I've been to a couple of places in mexico, Juarez strips bars are pretty grity but you can get whatever you want. I didn't like it for some reason it just feels like you are going to get robbed on every corner.

Palomas, Mex is pretty cool, its a small town no strip clubs but more bars than houses it seems, so your always drunk. lol

best place is Rocky Point, its pretty bad ass, lots of **** to do, got the beach with plenty of hoes, bars, strip clubs, rent atv's and just cruise the city, rent a boat and go deep sea fishing
