View Full Version : Wild will tomlinson
jaskieee 04-14-2010, 10:29 AM Did anyone catch his fight against oscar bravo on the danny green undercard? i missed it but i know he won the IBO intercontinental superfeatherweight championship by unanimous decision. I think this guy is the next big thing in Australian boxing, and im not talking Danny Green or Anthony Mundine big, im talking about Kostya Tszyu and Jeff Fenech big.
What do the rest of you Aussies out there think?
BROOKLYN CESAR 04-14-2010, 10:53 AM Man this kid has a big future in the sport!!! I cant wait to see how far he goes!!!
Philfy 04-14-2010, 11:02 AM He didn't look overly impressive tonight, as his opponent refused to engage. It was a pretty boring fight to be honest with Will chasing him around the ring for 12 rounds and Bravo never getting off his bicycle.
jaskieee 04-14-2010, 02:24 PM I guess it was only a matter of time before oponents started to give him that kind of respect, were the margins wide?

About as wide as they get. 120-108, 120-108, 118-110.

120 - 108 twice is kinda wide :boxing:
Dan... 04-14-2010, 06:54 PM Kid definately has a lot of talent.
ColWallace 04-14-2010, 08:38 PM He spent five weeks in camp with Gamboa and Ismael Salas. That kind of experience makes champions out of mere fighters. I wonder if Green helped set it up. I hope he goes well.
jaskieee 04-14-2010, 10:16 PM Tomlinson seems pretty big for a super feather when you consider he fights only 1 weight class above the world class featherweights such as gamboa and juanma, it makes me wonder with a bit more experience how he would fair against that kind of competition. Im sure his first world title cant be too far away
Yeah the fight last night was spoilt by Will's opponent. The bloke from Chile kept clinching and running all night. Made it difficult for Will to land anything. Last round was probably the best.
He does seem to be a good, young, up and coming fighter though. Incredible power for a small guy.
jaskieee 04-14-2010, 11:43 PM I wonder if he will end up pushing up in weight? I was really hyped about heath ellis too until last week hahahaa and lenny zappa still looks the goods i think his us debut on the darchinyan undercard was just a little nervous, and daniel ianazzo seems to have a bright future aswell
Maquina 05-19-2010, 12:44 PM I train with Oscar Bravo here in Chile and I promise that he could beat Will Tomlinson.
We have to bear in mind that Oscar had one day of rest from a 25 hour flight and an 11 hour time difference to overcome. Additionally, the day before the fight three lots of blood were taken which also has its effect.
If Will Tomlinson wants to go any further he has to have a rematch with Oscar Bravo. He has been fed dead men until now. Oscar is much stronger, faster and technically superior to Tomlinson.
A rematch in Chile and Oscar would win by KO.
