How come 70-80% of the heavy bag vids and sparring vids people post are terrible? If any decent fighters have some videos i would like to check you out. Any one here from east coast?

mainly most the videos are newbies who think they got it down and good jus not quiet there yet tho...its good for them tho long as people can give constructive criticism too many tho jus bash the bag hitting w no advice...i posted some work once not sure its still here but we all have some bad habits specially us amateurs

Because I know I suck, have no access to real instruction, and want to do more than just get a workout - so posting a vid on a forum is a great way to get advice from people who really box. I'm fascinated by boxing, and punching mechanics, I wish I started when I was a kid.

Besides, what am I supposed to do? If someone's a pro, of course they're not going to post a heavy bag vid.

too afraid that theyre gonna be called out and bashed. if somebody claims hes good and he puts up a video of him hittin the bag there will always be some people to bash and hate on them, so why bother. noobs know they suck, but if you think youre good you wont put up any videos up unless you dont care about people calling you out

whats funny is the people putting up bad videos of their bag work, also give suggestions and advice to other people.

People should be careful who they get their tips from.

Giving advice isn't such a big deal as long as you know what you're saying, at least kb here is honest about his fighting record and he makes a pretty good point. Does one have to have 50 amateurs fight to be taken into consideration? Neah, because people can have a brain and eyes to watch boxing and train and make the best of it.

I picked up boxing a year ago more or less and I've been watching it for a looong time. I'm not competitional because I choose not to be, I train and I spar and make the best of it. Does that disqualify me for giving advice? No, because it's free and it might make sense. What a person does with your advice is his problem and as long as you try to help t'is all cool.

I had my first fight on here but the video is gon now but i just read all the thread comments thats always fun looken back at old posts

Actually I'm 20, and an active competitor from Denmark. But don't talk like you know much because of your two fights. Those guys who actually upload their videos, some more balls then you bashing "newbies". You're not allowed to call them newbies, in the bad way atleast, when only having two fights. But I agree, you can know alot about boxing and be able to give advice, if you have some experience from the gym and watched for a long time.

i dont act like i know anything from my 2 fights actually the 2 fights showed me how much i dont know(well knew better but not so easy when faced in actual competition) lol for one i wasnt giving advice in here just stating MY opinion on the ? at hand..and well still i'm willing to bet i know technique and etc more than a lot of guys here and what i dont know well i wont say anything about or will say..."i'm not sure but" feel me there

I respect any man entering the ring, don't get me wrong. And I agree, anyone who has been in the ring even once, know more then 75 % of this board. It's just an indescribable feeling! Think I might've misunderstood you then.
