Ok,there could be 3 or 4,but there's really only two candidates.Who's #1 at 140 now that Hatton has dethroned the now former longtime 140pound Champ Kostya Tszyu?

well right now it's gotta be hatton,

I think mayweather is p4p number one, but he is smaller and still need to prove himself at 140

don't know who i would bet on, because hatton workrate would be the worst matchup stylewise for someone like mayweather

Im picking Mayweather. What a polished career. Look at Vince Philips, he beat Tszyu and went no-where. I think Hatton is a different league to Philips, but in his own words "if I could be half the champion Tszyu is, I will be happy" (or something to that effect). Mayweather is close/at to Tszyu status in his career. Hatton still has a lot to do. Bring on Hatton v Mayweather!

Hatton has to be considered #1 after beating Tszyu. However, if they fought, Mayweather would take him to school.

Agreed. Mayweather beat two guys at 140. His success in other weight classes is irrelevant to his ranking in 140. The man standing at the top of the mountain of 140 is clearly Hatton. He beat the man therefore he is the man.
