View Full Version : Regardless of who you think will win...aren't you just damn excited for Hitman/Zoo?
TyrantT316 06-03-2005, 01:05 PM Regardless of Zoo's layoff or Hatton's inexperience and possibly jumping into this fight too quick...I am just excited that this fight is even taking place...Hatton could be fighting another Tackie right now...
I think it is an interesting matchup...youth and activity vs experience
Upper Cut 06-03-2005, 01:17 PM Duh!!! LOL
Thius is why I am a boxing fans...fights like these...it is too bad that most of the sports fans out there have no clue that this fight is even taking place...hell most sports fans don't even know who Ricky and KT are?
Can't wait, should be a great night for the sport of boxing!
NiGe2011 06-03-2005, 02:36 PM I am not going to be able to watch it! I am subletting an apartment in Brooklyn and the place has no Showtime... Such is life I suppose. An unknown city and no job, coupled with no money will do that to you I guess!

in answer to the thread question, HELL YES, I'm very, very excited about this one. Should be a killer! :D
NiGe2011 06-03-2005, 02:46 PM Haha, thanks but I will probably end up just skulking off to some sports bar and watch it. As you say, it is a can't miss. Thanks for the offer though!

Sucks for you man. If you are 18 or older you might want to go to one of the sports bars and watch it. I know there is a good one on Kings Highway and west 1st or west 2nd, called sports page. Just buy a bottle of coke and ask them to turn on Showtime. Worked or me when i was in similar situation. btw where you live in brooklyn?

no problem at all...just let me know if you do end up missing it okay
NiGe2011 06-03-2005, 02:50 PM I am in this one bedroom apartment in Park Slope with a college buddy who has an internship for the summer... Kind of cramped quarters but it is close to where he has to go and it gets the job done. I will probably end up at a sports bar I imagine.
Super_Lightweight 06-03-2005, 02:53 PM I'm definitely going to miss it. I am going to be at work. Crappen****. Grrr. :boxing:
BrooklynBomber 06-03-2005, 02:53 PM Thats kinda far away from bensonhurst where I live. The best place to watch boxing is this place called Tonic(in the city) or you might want to check out some of the russian lounges. They alway got boxing on.

....One bedroom?? Who plays the man and who plays the woman? :)
NiGe2011 06-03-2005, 05:25 PM I am both! (If anybody can figure out any possible meaning for that)
Boxerdog 06-03-2005, 05:27 PM I am very excited about the fight. I was beginning to wonder if we would ever see ANY Frank Warren fighter go against a top contender. I know that Warren hates it and that is reason enough to give props to Hatton!

...Yeah I give Hatton credit for stepping in with the monster that is Zoo. He may have "stepped" in but he gonna get carried out.
Boxerdog 06-03-2005, 06:02 PM Very possible PBDS, but the every fact that he's a Warren Fighter
makes Hatton somewhat an unknown quantity. It's very hard to judge boxers against less than topflight competition.
We DO know that Hatton likes to mix it up and gets hit a lot. Hard to see how letting Zu hit you a lot could be a good idea. I wouldn't bet on Hatton but he may surprise us and be able to take a punch from a gorilla.
The unknown element......makes for great drama, don't you think!?

...**** yeah I do think. I can't wait for this one.
fazered 06-03-2005, 06:20 PM I am ****ting myself excited. I am really gutted about not managing to get tickets. They went in half a bloody hour! I had some on screen to buy but my mate was buggering about and wanting to be tight and get cheaper seats. Waited to long and they went to someone else. GUTTING.

Oh B-dog, this is gonna be great!!! :D
Boxerdog 06-03-2005, 11:20 PM The only bad thing about this fight is that I'm gonna have to get up at the crack of noon to get ready for Reeno's round by round!

i agree this fight is good for boxing, although fighting a tackie isn't a bad thing, Tackie is tough as nails
