Few questions for those who really box.

When your throwing a hook, do u have thwist your hips and front leg 1st while throwing you hook right behind it or do you throw it at the same time?

From all the boxing workouts which one do u beleive is the most improtant one (not including Sparring) heavy bad , j. rope, speed bag pushups etc.

dont ya think power cleans is imporntant in boxing because of the hip power you would need?

throw ya hips, shoulders, head turn the same way, and and ur arm behind, and ya foot should naturally swivel at sametime. i dont like it how some coaches, focus on front foot turning 1st, more focus should be on upper body commitment behind the punch, becos the feet will follow.
sparring is very important, but definitely start out hitting speedball and heavy bag before sparring takes place. hand pads very important aswell.

Power cleans, you don't go as low to catch the bar.

"more focus should be on upper body commitment behind the punch, becos the feet will follow."

Definitely depends on the individual fighter. You can't make a generalization like that, everyone's different.

you need to twist your body into the hook.

after sparring i would say heavybag and sprints.

twist your body and let the punch go at the same time

i think double end bag is most important

its hard 2 explain, i can throw hooks, and my foot will naturally swivel without even trying to. an internet forum will not always give an answer to everything, im just trying to help da kid out.
