View Full Version : Elusive aggresive fighters
YoungJab 04-01-2010, 01:52 PM who were they?
Who were the top fighters whose game was to come forward and attacked but never really got hit clean or only got hit few times?
Napalm Death 04-01-2010, 02:23 PM Mike tyson would definitely be one
Junito-Rulez 04-01-2010, 02:28 PM Aaron Pryor was slicker than he was getting credit for.
Tyson, Frazier, Toney, Pacquiao...
Roberto Duran was the master of this
Irish Hitman 04-01-2010, 03:07 PM Hatton, Maidana, Bernard dunne

hatton was aggresive and come forward, but c'mon, he wasnt elusive, he blocked punches with his face!

lol i was about to say the same thing. one of his best fights was against collazo and he caught a lot of shots in that one, almost went down.

lol. i wouldnt mind watching that again, not seen it since the first time. i wonder if its in the trading block.
I'd rather box 04-01-2010, 06:35 PM Some of y'all will laugh at this, but I think JCC's evading skills are a bit underrated. He's known for his granite chin. But, if you watch his fights, he generally did a great job of making his opposition miss with subtle head movement

While I agree or partially agree with your other choices, I have to completely disagree with Pacquiao.
Dude gets tagged up even when he's dominating his fights.
Granted, his defense isn't complete ****, but I would not put him and elusive in the same sentence.
Rich.r 04-06-2010, 12:08 PM Roberto Duran.
coghaugen 04-06-2010, 06:01 PM Nigel Benn under Jimmy Tibbs.
A young James Toney was very elusive and aggressive at times. I watched his fight with Micheal Nunn on YouTube last night and that could have described his style perfectly.
