My son brought his grade up in a class he was failing, thru hard work and negotiating with his teacher.
I offered to pay him to do a project for me(that I'm unable to do by myself)in the yard and he's doing it. Been down this road before, but never got any results. He wants things and realizes now that he's gonna have to earn it.
I'm in shock. I don't want to jinx this.
I like this. I may have my backyard done in time for when I have my surgery. It's the only thing I've asked of my family, is to help get it done before I have the surgery so I have a place to go sit and enjoy outside. I'll be off my foot for 3-4 months. :(

i think you need to get out some more you talk about your kids to much, not that thats a bad thing but huh yeah you need a vacation

No not really, but I didn't ask you to speak; sit. I invited us to dinner, I think it will be good for us to get out too. I was thinking maybe of a local winery.

IMO, she's doing the right thing by focusing on her kids. Especially when her sons in his rebel stage. She seems to be making progress why encourage her to go out? There is always time to go out. There is to many stupid moms out there that don't pay enough attention to their kids. Just my opinion.

no one is talking down to her for being a good mom but when the only threads you start is about your kids and personal life it sucks, im a great mom to but you guys dont see me starting threads every other day about my family to me its just know ones business.

But being a mom right now is what defines who I am. I do have otehr interests and hobbies, but for the most part, it's my kids.
Agony has a valid point. I had a guest over the weekend who took me to a concert. On her way out, my son thanked her for taking me to the concert and getting me outta the house.
Nothing will stop me from being Mom, but I do need to get out more. Which is why I am taking a 12 day vacation WITHOUT THE KIDS OR THE HUBBY. :D
