I could listen to that double kick all day. blaze778 08-07-2010, 05:03 PM You should have made it top 10, lol. Too many to name, but here some personal favorites: Classic Rock/Heavy Metal: 1. Robert Plant 2. Bruce Dickenson 3. Klaus Meine 4. Ozzy 5. Jim Morrison Alternative/Grunge/90s: 1. Layne Staley 2. Thom Yorke 3. Chris Cornell 4. Robert Smith 5. Maynard James Keenan Death Metal: 1. Jens Kidman 2. Corpsegrinder 3. Angela Gossow 4. Mikael Aikerfeldt 5. Dani Filth *Would have put Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride) on the list, but he's sings clean is not death metal screamer/growler (only about 10% of the time. His voice and lyrics are amazing. blaze778 08-07-2010, 05:10 PM 1. Varg Vikernes 2. Chris Barnes 3. George Corpsegrinder Fisher 4. Sebastian Bach 5. Vince Niel Being honest. Hey Run, you ever read Lords of Chaos. The Count is one interesting character. Awesome book. Good list. Except I would put Fisher over Barnes, imo. Barnes got more lower and heavier and he was the og Corpse front man, but Fisher had so much more power and aggression and his screams had more sustain. And his vocals are actually intelligible most of the time(almost impossible for a death singer). The good thing about Barnes is that he wrote lyrics, unlike Corpsegrinder, who is just a front man. But screams/growls and style, I prefer Fisher. RwK 08-07-2010, 05:27 PM ****, for real? What did you think of the comeback? Hey Run, you ever read Lords of Chaos. And at times it's like he's rapping or something. But that's also why I like Torture Killer in they have a core sound that reaches out to rap in a way. But I'm by no means into rap-core at all RwK 08-07-2010, 05:30 PM I like how Barnes flows. |
