I can't post on any other site...I am serious, its not possible. I signed up at some basketball site today and after 5 posts I lost motivation to be a member. All that went through my head was how being part of that site will take away from boxingscene.com time. :D Other than Tysontalk.com which I go on every couple of weeks, I can't post on any other site. I think its an addiction. :D

...I'm on other boxing sites that I won't mention but I haven't posted in them for at least 6 months. I don't even bother because I find them lame and they never hold my interest. Occasionaly I go read some posts but nothing even interests me enough to comment.

I think its the community factor, this site does feel like a family.

I migrated from http://www.*************.com and was a usual on there board, but there "top" guys on the board ruined it and everybody flamed the newbies and it went all downhill from there. It was just a race and a contest and all conversation was thrown out the window.

I visit it occasionally just to read the threads but you cant go without reading any slandering on that board.

BS almost drove me away when a lot of flaming was going on and people was just busting into every thread arguing over stupid ****, but the storm has withered and it is back a little bit.

Boxing Scene has one of the best boards EVER, despite some jack offs.

I only came to Boxingscene when it acquired and integrated Global MMA into it's database. Initially I didn't really know what to expect but I've always been a longtime boxing fan and though I don't really explore some of the "bells and whistles" I find this forum very knowledgeable and informative about boxing. Could do without bashing the fighters a bit more imo and even the poster bashing but I'd settle for everyone respecting the fighters and let the posters "sink or swim". No need for outright disrespect especially because it takes no courage to do that over the internet.

Course ... if you're attacked ... *shrugs*

I know what you mean, I cant stand it when their is a discussion going on about a certain fighter and someone cant answer back with a civilized answer and there rebuttle is like "shut up ***, and so forth". That irritates the **** out of me, especially when people dont like fighters and refuse to give them respect for there accomplishments. THAT is really bad on this board, I have noticed.

MayweatherFan :)-************* was decent at one point, but damn has it gone downhill. It generally used to be an overall good site and I liked it a lot.

When we had that big blow up of people selling fights on the boards and it became a weak competition on this site, Rick enforced action and made people who sell fights pay a fee for a listing. A lot of them migrated over to that board, so that is a plus :)

I have yet to see a forum where they needed new rules and that's the case here.

I have been on several sites where they just need to ENFORCE them as they say they will and that would go a long way to solving alot of crap.

Invariably, some posters' scream that they could care less or thy ain't afraid, blah, blah, blah but usually it's those ignorant posters, the blatant and frequent screw-ups; who will go into a state of catatonia after their mouths write a check they can't cash resulting in banning, that will return time after time to the forum they "didn't care about". They don't respect the owner/admin and/or mods and probably no one else. Matter of fact, they'll tell you that ... to hurt or embarass YOU but actually serves as proof positive that they are simply ignorant.

Then there are the "good posters". They're popular, they're knowledgeable ... but they think they're indispensable. They don't realize the show will go on without them. I've seen GREAT posters get banned to spite a mod or admin and sometimes it will cause a short term decline in quality on a site but LONG TERM?

Ain't no one THAT good a poster. Both of those posters have low self-esteem and will be bitter, bitter ex-boxingscene-ers after they're banned. However, everyone else will be better for it.

I like this site and actually post on the boxingscene portion more than the global part because their are more posters and topics. I have only seen one or two posters like those above but Time will take care of that. Either they'll be banned or someone in real life will make postin on the internet the least of their worries.

I had a few arguments here but on Off topic forums it's been my expeience that that's "business as usual" and you just handle it. On the serious or in this case, boxing forums it isn't encouraged to "flame" or even allowed so whoever I cursed out(in self defense, of course), I'm sorry, that's not characteristic of me. Won't happen again.

I respect Rick and most of the posters here and I appreciate the quality work everyone does to make this site what it is. From programming, moderating and even posting. Thanks Rick and everyone else who makes this site one that I post on nearly everyday.

I dont think I would ever leave no matter the imcompotence of the board.

There are a few schmucks here but that is what the ignore feature is for although I havent enforced it yet. Because the twats are always worth a good laugh.

Shaolin-I would be curious to know the posters who think they are invincible, the ones I think act like that are actually vulnerable and are relatively new to the site.

But I welcome you to Boxing Scene to enjoy with open arms. :)

Usually if a thread gets to deep into an argument, I just back up and leave. I am here to talk boxing not act like a couple of school girls during recess.

Exactly my motto is on this board is "take everything with a grain of salt". Everybody should it is just typed words and nothing to get heated about. I have read some crazy ass posts though that made me think "woah I still am on the internet right?" People take things way to seriously.

I come here to shoot the **** and I am never serious about anything just laid back.

I agree with you at the end of the day this is just a place to discuss a sport when you have time. Its not worth it to get into huge fights with people you will probably never actually meet in person.

NOOOOO! Bring a lab top :D Honestly the only time this site is bad for you is if there more healthy things that you should be doing. Like right now I have an half an hour before I go to work so theres nothing else for me to do. But when this site is bad is if you start blowing off plans with friends, work, school and family to post on boxingscene. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with posting.

I would love to visit California, however I am eager to make a trip to NYC myself.

Mayweather will punish Gatti, a stoppage is very possible and likely. However, all I know is Mayweather is getting a win convincingly.

It is a very risky fight to bet on, especially with Mayweather but he can knock people out and it is a toss up with him on stoppages and decision victories.

I laid some money down on Mayweather at a local bookie, I am hoping to make a little bit back.

You betting on Mayweather or Gatti?
