Michael Wittmann 05-29-2005, 07:55 AM the politics, the politics!
the reason why the klitschkos where let in to fight for the titles in the us where not only german finance backers..
it was simply because the klits support the new regim in ukraine - the new western oriented regime that favours slacker ties to russia.
so, the klits got a title and ukraine was soo proud and the klits got to play some intricate pat in the latest revolution over there.
if it hadent been for their strategic interests the us would never permit some forrigner to hold them belts - its all about propaganda - politics - moral in iraq - jew name it.. :D
this only goes to prove that ruiz-valuev isent going to happen - its pretty ****ing far from happening, especially outside the us - where cia/fbi/don-fda cant mess with them waterbottles of the challenging atlethe. :D
the last thing the american world would SEEM to need to is some nationalistic and unbeatable rusian beer / white sibirian tiger - throwing the homeboys around like toydolls in a cage..
thats on the surface of things - maybe the german financiers has found some venue - everybody can be bought in the land of dollars - maybe even don king?
but as i said - something or some misfortunate event will most prob occur and dwarf the sport back into its wwf type credibility
and homeboy entertainment value..
moochi 05-29-2005, 08:03 AM **** you are a loser.........when did the cold war end? you should ask yourelf!!!

hollister 05-29-2005, 01:39 PM Many foreigners have held titles at various weight classes, and have won and defended them in the states, if Valuev can prove he is worthy then he will fight for a title. As of right now, he has beaten one noteworthy opponent who was stopped in one round by a past it tyson, KO'd by Calvin Brock in what round 5? If you look back far enough, he was knocked down like 5 or 6 times by Fres Quendo en route to yes another KO loss. I like Valuev, but he needs to, or should I say his management neds to put a rush on his career before it's too late.

joeboxer 05-29-2005, 05:07 PM Interesting comments. I never thought about it that way. You might be correct, there is alot of really shady stuff that goes on behind the scenes.
I never thought about all that political stuff before. For him to have 41 fights and not have a title shot yet is rediculous. Someone must be holding him back, but why???
What is the jewish connection you speak of? How is it related?
joeboxer 05-29-2005, 05:21 PM Did you see the thread I made about N. Valuev.

He is becoming a very famous person all over the place.

June 11 show at Plaza Hotel & Casino
LAS VEGAS – Hot heavyweight prospect Roman Greenberg (18-0, 13 KOs) headlines a June 11th pro boxing show at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, promoted by Guilty Boxing in association with Fight Academy, Infox Promotions and World Promotions.
Unbeaten powerhouse Greenberg, fighting out of England via Israel, is a gifted, 6-3 sharpshooter. The 22-year-old boxer faces Josh "The Griz" Gutcher (17-3, 13 KOs), of Des Moines (IA), in the 10-round main event.
"Greenberg is a highly-touted, popular up-and-coming fighter who'll be tested by Josh Gutcher," Guilty vice president Jay Hassman said. "We have a Ukrainian invasion on this card. The co-feature promises to be very entertaining and we have competitive supportive bouts."
Greenberg holds a victory against Julius Francis (WDEC10, Dec. 10, 2004), who defeated Mike Tyson victor Danny Williams and also has been in the ring against some of the world's best heavyweights including Tyson, Vitali Klitschko, John Ruiz, Zeljko Mavrovic, Oleg Maskaev and Sinan Samil Sam.
.................................................. ..
Posted that because I'm fairly certain that a showdown between Valuev and Greenburg is inevitable.
Roman is the fastest man in the heavyweight division. He is even faster than Ali was.
Valuev is about to take over the division.
Greenburg may be the only one with what it takes to beat him.
Greenberg is also a proud israli, Valeuv is the pride of Germany.
Could their be a bigger megafight???
I think not.

giant?
I know that Vitali and Wlad both could have had this fight in 2000 but neither of them wanted it.
There arn't that many other great Eueropeans for him to be tested against.

any contender if it meant a title shot afterwards
valuev is now mandatory challenger to ruiz, through beating bums...
if you are wondering why valuev did not get a title shot, you should ask the same about barrett, who has more significant wins
NOW to the fighting possibilities of valuev
in a ufc contest he would be pretty effective, but he had to cheat to beat etienne.
rabbit punching, wrestling, illegal by the rules of boxing
do you know primo carnera?
same story (70 years old) even made it to world champ for 2 defenses, and he is widely regarded as one of the worst hw champs in boxing history.
wait and see
valuev is WWE material

I wouldn't be a in any orginazation that was so rooted in history and not a part of the world developing today.
Allot the United States founding fathers were in that weren't they????
I don't drink alchohol because it increases my toxicity levels.
To counter the effects of high toxicity I run, drink lots of water, and go in the sauna every day.
If you know what group I'm a part of I will be very impressed indeed.
Slipx 05-29-2005, 06:59 PM primo would have beat down seldon

I just found out about Primo.
But I disagree about Valuev, he did cheat to beat Etienne, but I don't think that he meant to or need to.
I have watched Valuev much longer than most people and I dismissed him 4 years ago.
I saw what horrible skillz he had and said he would never beat decent opposition.
Since watching him I have determined that he only looks so awkward because he is sooo large. He fights very well for his size.
And even though he is bigger than the Klitckcos he doesn't have the stamina problem that they do. Which is very immpressive.
People also say he doesn't have the power he should have. I disagree, he fights with a Jirov style of throwing shots constantly for 12 instead of tiring. And his baby shots are alot worse than many heavy's power shots.
wmute 05-29-2005, 07:06 PM it destroyed boxing..

Misinformed?
The opponents who stopped Etienne?
The level of opposition Valuev has faced?
I like Valuev as much as anyone else, but the fact still remains that he needs to get a move on or he'll be too old to challenge anyone for a title.
