Thats why they named Peden right before the Chaves-Hernandez fight. So they could already have it set before people start asking about Jesus. Getting back to the topic, Chavez is very underrated. He really showed heart fighting for 10 rounds with one arm against Morales.

Chavez is a good fighter. I was at the Morales fight and I'm convinced he would have won if he hadn't hurt his shoulder in the early rounds. He had to fight the rest of the way with one arm.

I'm glad to see the consensus agrees that he's a good little boxer. He has a damn go punch and his heart, skills, and condiitioning are all top notch.

I think it's true that he's often overlooked; maybe the perception is that he's brittle or whiney but that's not what I've seen. I often pull for him and did even when he fought Morales which was a big order for him, I admit.

chavez is very good and entertaining , he fights like a little bull , but i think he lacks something to put him above the rest of the pack , like great speed or power .

Chavez is ok, just lacks power, skill, footwork, speed... all things Maywather has so Mayweather toyed with him throughout the fight.

Chavez has good punchin power. Real good.

These divisions are so full of stars that Jesus is in the shadow of them. He lost all his main fights. He needs some big victories. JM Marquez was also in the shadow for a long time but now he has almost the same respect as EM and MAB.

How is a injuried arm like a cut? Fighters get cut all the time. That didnt change the outcome. However Chave fought for 9 or 10 rounds with one arm. That is completely different
