I just got done watching Full Metal Jacket
i think that is one of the best movies ever.

The first half of the film - boot camp is a 3 1/2 star movie.

The rest of the movie is 2 stars at best.

Cool movie. Like'd it even more than Platoon. One of the best war movie I ever saw.

I'm with Neils.... when Vincent D'Onofrio dies, the movie nearly flatlines too.

It is a great film. Probably the best vietnam movie.....

Full metal Jacket was aa great movie. I saw a vietnam war movie rcently called TigerLand, it wasn't to bad.

Yep, the first half was great, the second half I could have done without. I thought it was was of the funniest movies I ever saw because when it came out I was in my first year of college. I was planning on going into the service but my Dad changed my mind(he was a Marine). It was funny because I realized how close I was to being there and was glad I wasn't. Get the **** down off of my obstacle Pyle!!!!

This scene was great.

Great movie, very psychological. But again, this was Stanley Kubrick, a true master making films. This, along with A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, and Eyes Wide Shut, is masterful Kubrick stuff.

when i was in university me and a buddy used to watch Full Metal Jacket every weekend. it's a great movie about dehumanization, although now that i'm in the work force again i find myself thinking what those dudes went through is pure hell but way better than working at McDonald's...

i watched Sin City last nite, that film is ****ing great, daaamn fine babes, and Mickey Rourke back in action again. **** YEAH!

Movie was great but a lot of those things do not happen in Marine Corps Recruit Training. I think my favorite part is when Pvt Pyle is trying to get up and over the logs and GySgt Hartman starts yelling "Pvt Pyle you climb obstacles like old people ****, if jesus wanted you up there he would have miracled your ass up there!!"

Best boot camp, drill instructor sequences ever! GySgt Lee Ermey lent all the credibility you needed to that flick!
