Damn. So both him and Reg Gutteridge passes away in a short timespan. Those 2 where the voices og british boxing for decades. I remember Carpenter best for doing Ali-Foreman. He was also the author of a book on boxing that really ignited my interest in the sport.

May he rest in peace.

That is very sad. Its strange but he has been on my mind this weekend since James Corden mentioned the famous 'Arry' line at the Sports Relief on Friday!

True gent, genuinely loved the fighters. Great loss......RIP

So many good memories of Harry Carpenter,so I say in tribute,"GET IN THERE,FRANK...".

yeah this is very sad i remember watching sportsnight midweek as a kid and harry was doing the boxing ,the days of my choldhood
