My daughter made captain!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I'm so proud of her.

Band banquet was fun. The moms, including myself, performed our own flag routine, much to the embarassment or joy to the kids. We had fun and I even tossed and CAUGHT the flag. YAY for me! :p My one and only performance as a flag girl.

No, she's on the high school color guard team. The guard that performs with the band on the football field during the halftime shows, not to mention competitions on Saturdays. They also have a winterguard season after football is over.

She dances and waves a flag around...and tosses it too. :)

She loves all history, including Egyptian. American history is her favorite. We may not agree with all that our ancestors have done, but it IS history. Some of it is pretty amazing.

Yea pretty bored, I have hay fever and I'm dobed up on clariton. Normally I don't like using anti histamines but stuff is really blooming this year. I'm afraid to go outside.

I have the same problem. I like Claritin too, but I have use the D version. The only problem I have is it makes me sleepy. Even though it's not supposed to.

I agree they do make you sleepy, I have to use alot of power tools at work so I'm pretty hesitant to take it during the day which really sucks. It didn't say avoid alcohol on the package so I had a few beer last night and it really effected me. I'm not gonna do that again.

That is a cool picture. My dad loves the bald eagle. IT's always easy to buy him something...anything with an eagle on it. :)

That painting was done by Robert Bateman, I installed carpet in his mansion on saltspring island, $100 a sqaure yard for it, very nice stuff.

At that price, it had better be. Sheesh!!!

I have pergo floors...I like them. We do have carpet upstairs in 2 rooms and the hallway. My house seems cleaner with little carpeting.

Yes, it was laminate. Good thing it was easy to install since I did most of it by myself. The house looks so much nicer with it. We put in red oak baseboards as well.

Me and a guy I work with intalled 800 square feet of it in 5 hours once, that's like a record. It's cool that you got down and did it yourself, not many people do, thats why flooring is a trade I guess.

I wanted to save the money. It took me and the kids three days, but we got it done. 880 sq ft. I wouldn't do it again, a room that size on a weekend my husband was working. No way.

I agree with you on that for the most part. Sometimes, even though I can do it myself, I'll hire someone to do it because it's not worth it to me. I save nearly $2,000 doing it myself. Which paid for all the fabric for my drapes and then some. I still haven't sewn the drapes, but that's on my summer project list. Lots of sewing this summer. Lots.
