and how do you see this one turning out.Hmm.. I kinda like this one Power and speed goes to -> Morrison, Stamina -> Mesi, Chin -> they both suck, Heart -> Mesi. I see a k.o. w/ " Baby fat " Mesi going down somewhere between the 6th - 10th rd.

Tommy Morrison takes more heat than he deserves. He was a very talented boxer with big power. His lack of character and inability to avoid the bottle was his downfall. Mesi is a "never was"

From what I've seen of the two, I'll take Tommy in this one.

Mesi's power was not that of Morrisons. I think thats one area where there was a clear difference.

Morrison had an awesome left hook. He had more power in that punch than anything in Mesi's entire aresenal. I would say he was quicker than Mesi as well. Chin and stamina are about even.

I see Morrison running over Mesi like a bullet train. Baby Joe wouldn't know what hit him.

I think this fight would start off like Mercer vs. Morrison. Only Mesi doesn't have the chin to turn the fight around. Morrison wins by KO in four.

This would be a tough fight to call. If Morrison was able to go in there and land his powerful left hook, it would be over for Mesi. That is the problem though, watching Tommy during his career, it seemed as if that was his only weapon. So if you were able to block his bread and butter shot like Lewis did then the fight then becomes competitive. Mesi on the other hand seems to have a big heart and even though he might not have the best power in his hands remember with glass jaw Morrison you dont need that much power. I see Mesi knocking him out in 7

Morrison KO 6. If Jirov could hang in there with Mesi, turn the fight around and damn near kill Baby Joe, Morrison could withstand Mesi's early attack better than Vassily did (i.e. no KD's for Baby Joe) and start landing regularly and finish off the Buffalo product in impressive fashion.

Are you serious? Of course Mesi can hurt Morrison, Morrison had a worse chin than many of the guys Mesi KO'ed. Yes Morrison would rip Mesi a new one but to say Mesi couldn't hurt him is a load of bull.

how many Morrison fights have you people seen, Mercer,Bentt,Lewis Morrison did not have a bad chin why dont you watch the Hipp fight,Foreman. anyone hit over and over agian will go down, it took micheal bentt lots of punches right on the chin for Morrison to go down,Foreman hit Morrison with big shots and Morrison did not go down,Joe hipp hit Morrison and broke his jaw and Morrison broke his right hand and still knocked Hipp out after going 7 rounds with a completly broken jaw, and what the hell are you saying about Morrison's heart he got up evertime he went down except for Mercer which would have knocked any ohter heavyweight out cold, anyone that says Morrison had a Horriable chin has clearly only seen Mercer,Bentt, and Lewis, Morrison also took some huge shots from Ruddock which if Lennox Lewis was hit by would have knocked him out, and Mesi i dont believe would last 5 rounds with Morrison, believe me i have seen all but 2 of Morrison's fight most of you have no idea waht you are talking about

And Mesi has Morrison power and speed ? I think you need to get some Morrison VHS tapes and watch them , Mesi has nothing on Morrison !

I have seen 90% of all Morrison's fights. Some here might be underrating him..but you are overratting him a bit.

Tommy had a questionable chin. The real issue was probably his conditioning, more than his wiskers. He had tremendous skills and could have been much better. Calling him one of the most underrated "champs" is far fetched.

by the way...Morrison beats Mesi easy.

poeple on this board dont give Morrison a chance agianst anyone who was a contender, all they remember is the 3 losses, Ray Mercer if you all dont remember got a MD agianst Lennox Lewis most say Mercer won that fight. Micheal Bentt was getting his ass kicked before landing one lucky punch on Morrison Chin and then hitting him over and over agian until he fell down, lennox lewis would have been down from that punch, micheal bentt was also a 5 time amatuer champion. the reason Tommy lost is because he was not afraid of bentt even after going down and kept coming at him, Tommy Morrison never had time to recover from that shot. Tommy Morrison is A vary Underated Champ.
