for some reason i am fixed on shavers right now haha, but who do u all see winning? We all know shavers had the great power but not the best chin or boxing talent. could shavers take patterson out early like liston did even though he didnt have the skill liston did. or would pattterson use his speed and skill to take him the distance. Even though shavers doesnt have a great chin i dont think floyd has enough power to knock him down. I say shavers early ko or patterson by decision.

I think Patterson had the skill to survive long enough to tire Shavers and win by a comfortable UD, or maybe even by late tko.

Shavers had a downright weak chin and Patterson could surely KO him in the later rounds as he tires. Remember what that left hook did to Ingo.

The thing is, I don't see this fight going into the later rounds. Despite his skill, Patterson always caught a few hard shots and if Pete Rademacher had him down, Shavers could catch him too. Patterson just didn't have the chin or size to weather the initial storm, though the longer the fight goes the more dangerous Patterson becomes.

i think patterson is fact enough to survive shavers hard shots, and then ko him late in the 13th.
