ITV look set to screen Amir Khan's US debut against Paulie Malignaggi at New York's Madison Square Garden on May 15.

They are favourites to agree a deal with Khan for his WBA light-welterweight title defence after talks with Sky broke down.

Itv feel the fight could be a ratings hit, even though it may not start until 1am UK time.

Good news if it happen's. It means we can watch Mitchell vs Katsidas on Sky Sports in the evening then the Khan-Malignaggi card on ITV in the early hours. All for free.

Is pretty good considering I thought all fights were going to be put together for a Sky Box Office event.

If ITV pull this off it will be a wonderful bit of buisness for them. They would get alot of people tuning in after been out on the piss.

I'm not sure Warren will put Mitchell v Katsidis on Sky Sports. I reckon he might get it on ITV too, to give Kevin maximum exposure.

Yeah but I can't see it happening, I mean would ITV be willing to dedicate a whole night to boxing after pulling out of it at the end of 2009. Fingers crossed this will lead to ITV getting into boxing again, I miss the saturday night ITV 4 cards.

Its a great night of boxing either way,i do like the idea of it being on ITV though

Can't see Sky getting it cos will have to be on PPV. Don't think Sky would be intrested in putting another PPV on a month apart.

If it is on PPV that means within the space of 6weeks Boxing fans will have to paid for the Klit/Chambers, Haye/Ruiz/ Froch/Kessler and then Mitchell and Khan on PPV. Alot of fans won' pay for it.
