i was buzy man, theres more than one problem, heres one of them

1. Heres the leading eight soft drinks in 2003 and their percentage share of the market. write and execute a program to pale these data into a sequential file. Then write a second pogram to use the file to
a) display the eight brands and their gross sals in billions. (the entire soft drink industry grosses about $50 billiion)
b)calculate the total eprcentage market share of the leading eight soft drinks

Coke Classic - 19.9
Pepsi cola - 13.2
Diet coke - 8.8
Mountain Dew - 6.9
Sprite - 6.5
Dr.Pepper - 6.2
Diet Pepsi - 5.3
7 Up - 1.9

If tjis is for a course or whatever i would just set up an input box on a form. Set up a loop to get the user to input in any order the data you want. As the data is submitted it can be saved to an ADO recordset which is essentially like the old arrays stored in memory. Then on the same form you can use a list box to diaply the results of the calculations you perform. This is potentially done using an SQL string to query the recordset.

If I was doing it as a work project I would tie my VB front end up to a database, preferably Access, and again use ADO recordsets to manipulate the data in the database and perform queries on it.

Otherwise, do the work yourself. What benefit is it to you if you don't? You get a good homework grade? Say you even pass the class. Then what? What happens when you get to an exam and are clueless? Seriously man, I'd either learn that computer **** or change majors.

Riz, I've only just mastered ADO myself and it's some pain in the ass ****. I lost 3 pounds in 4 days with this ****er just thgrough the stress! I'm just coming to the end of a course and am up to my neck in project work, due in soon or I fail! Otherwise I could be of more help. Either try some of the VB forums on the net or do as masterDirector advises. Sorry mate.
