Props to Sergio. Dude definately has fast hands. With some training he could fight on the pro circuit. Hats off to Manfredo. I think he tried to tire out Sergio but it appears that Manfredo tired himself out. In a rematch Manfredo should just go toe to toe till one of them falls. Alfonzo could be the dark horse to win against any of the contenders. He fought like he had no pain against Brinkley. It was sad to see Brinkley get that headbutt. I think it did more damage than it first appeared. After the butt his legs never really recovered. I'd like to see Sergio vs. Alfonzo and Manfredo vs. Brinkley. What do you think?

it was a great fight sergio outworked peter and showed he had quicker hands, better chin, better stamina and more heart. sergio and alfonso would be a good fight i would love to see that i sergio would win on points.

Manfredo was horrific, Sergio was horrific, the fight was horrible my god! Could they have dragged it out longer or what? I am a huge boxing fan and that was just bad.
Manfredo had no stamina all he was good for was being used as a punching bag after the 3rd round. His hand speed was bad and he chose to fight Sergio the wrong way.
Sergio at least had skill, his hand speed was great with accuracy but I dont think he has a chin. He didnt show it he held on to him and stayed on the ropes the whole fight and if he had to go 5 more rounds he would have won because Manfredo would have fallen over of exhaustion after round 8 like he almost did at the end of the fight.
Neither of those 2 fighters would stand a chance in the ring with real fighters, they need better training and better routines with alittle more experience to be a real contender.

i thought sergio showed speed and lots of movement, but hated his sportsmanship during the fight...

why did brinkly wait so long to go after fonso, he had hurt at the end... must be cutting the weight is draining

They do, but they need a lot of work. Manfredo needs better conditioning, and a new trainer. His father can only take him so far, and he's reached the farthest he can go with him. He can be held back by his father, or move on with a better trainer and maybe become something big.

I ****ing hate Ishe SMith. I was glad to see Sergio show him what class was earlier in the series. Ishe just acted as though h was already the best there without giving anyone a chance i was glad to see the back of him to be honest.

What are you talking about? Manfredo is a real fighter, he justs lacks stamina...Ishe smith is a real fighter and Mora beat both of them..You are just a hater. BTW what is a real fighter? They threw real punches and shed real blood, they are professional fighters, so why would you not consider them real? Are amatuer fighters not real fighters?

He probably meant the "big" part of pros. IMO thru this show they had a chance to establish themselves and their names. I liked the Alfonso fight better than the main event. I will be watching out for Fonso's carreer. :boxing:

The best part of the show was being able to see each of these boxers as people instead of just what glimpses you usually see. I actually cared who won not just because of boxing style or records, but because of how much heart they had and what they were fighting for.

yeah, we would have never known that the world's #1 dad was anthony bosante... or that ahmed will "knock you out so crazy" or that ishe and his wife pray for ishe to bring pain to another man...

Najai was really poor, grew up in the ghetto with no dad, and I think his mom died when he was young. He used to sleep under his bed at night because he was scared, and he did so in the Contender, too. He had a LOT of mental instablities.

I hated both of his kids, and him. He cried too much.

i really hope they put this on dvd. I really regret missing those eposides now
