yeah that's a classic "what if" matchup, 2 of the most awesome brawlers in history, my Pops stil claims that Duran was the best lightweight in history, but as a "product of the 90's" I do have to say that DeLaHoya was a monster KO puncher at 135

I would give Durán the edge against Chávez. Just too strong, although both were warriors with great determination.

Yeah. And that first fight he fought with Sugar Ray Leonard was just unbeliveable. He fought like a devil, brawling with magnificent technique... Hands down one of my favorite fighters ever.

As someone here once said if they had been fighting in the same era at their same peeks, their fight could have been so savage that though incredible could have ended boxing.
