In this match between two of the biggest slug fest fighters or all time who do you think would win?

I see this fight as probably one of the better fights when thinking of putting two greats against one another. Sort of like the Leonard/Hagler fight of our days. A brawl till the end that is of course if we are talking about Gatti of old not of new.
Both fighters are virtually even when it comes to stats, both 5'7", both having a mid 60's% KO rating although Graziano is 10lbs heavier throughout most of his career Gatti and Graziano have been the same weight a few times. Graziano had 83 fights 67-10-6 and Gatti 45 fights 39-6-0 so when we look at experience it would have to go to Graziano but when it comes to heart I would have to say Gatti. If you remember Graziano mostly had 10 round fights and Gatti 12 but that could also have been the difference in times when the two fought.
I would have to say that this fight would probably have to be all about heart because both fighters are virtually equal in every way. Graziano a harder hitter and had more big fights in his day probably could KO Gatti but thats if we saw the dueling Gatti we used to see. Before the maturity of Gatti, Graziano would hurt Gatti bad with his power and never die attitude. Gatti if he came in as he has of late with his skill, his speed and of course his chin, he would take the fight into the later rounds and probably KO Graziano. Another tough battle if we were able to see it, it would be considered one of the greatest of all time just because of their never give up attitudes. I would have to say a draw in this battle but let me know what you think.

Rocky would have knocked Gatti out between rounds three and six.

Rocky KO, Rocky floored SRR and was a great Middleweight. Gatti struggled at Welter.

Prime Graziano (LMW/MW) had around a 10-20 lb weight advantage over a prime Gatti. Gatti did do fairly well as a light welterweight but I always felt his best days were at super featherweight.

It wouldn't even be competitive. Gatti complained that the welterweights were too strong for him, imagine Gatti against a very strong middleweight like Rocky Graziano.

Gatti, under the old weigh-in rules, would probably be a welterweight for a lot of his career.

Graziano was like the "middleweight king of the welterweights".

Graziano would stop Gatti with too many right hands.

Hold on a minute! Most posters for this thread don't give Gatti Buckley's hope of beating Graziano. Graziano would probably beat Gatti considering he's a Middleweight. Graziano didn't have the best skills and Gatti would give Graziano problems with his great Boxing skills. Look at how smart Gatti fought the second Ward fight compared with the first.

Gatti has amazing skills, can take a punch no doubt and can move around the ring beautifully. Gatti's head movement is very underrated. These two loved a good tear up and they'd be blood all over the canvass. Yes you would go with Graziano but don't write off Gatti.

I'm a big Gatti fan but I would not give him a chance against any top MW contender in history. Gatti had very good skills as a 130 pounder. He then underwent a fairly significant transformation into an out and out brawler. Whilst he tried to incorporate some of these skills back into his game later in his career at 140 he had sustained too much punishment. He was basically too small and, for the vast majority of his career, did not have the defensive capabilities to hang with a guy like Graziano at MW. Mid round KO to Graziano.

Rocky Graziano beats him evert time.

Do you think that Arturo would have beaten Tony Zale??? Rocky G DID, and he's just too big for Gatti.

Remember, Arturo Gatti was not the only really tough guy that ever boxed.
I would have loved to see Artuo vs Bobby Chacon at 130.
