I hear 16oz are pretty much the way to go as far as sparring, but I have also heard that 14oz are ok too.
Do those 2 ounces make that much of a difference?
Are Mexican style gloves ok to use for sparring? I'm thinking about gettin a pair of 14oz cause I like the style of glove and size too.
Any of u guys use these gloves? How do u like 'em?

I spar with 14oz. couldnt tell you if it makes any difference tho. ive never used mexican gloves so i dont know if the feel is significantly different. otherwise, they look like theyd be fine to spar with. personally, i dont think that the equipment matters when sparring as long as its comfortable, safe, and doesnt distract you from focusing on what you need to.

I use Green Hill amateur gloves, 10oz. The ones used in actual fights. They stop about 80% of the punch impact.

if you use heavy ones, ie.160z, when you take them off and go on the bags your hands feel like lightling.

i use 16 oz because of the benfits i would get. Power has increased a bit and when i put the 14 oz my hands feel really light.

i have ringside 14 oz and they are good for bag and sparring, theyre still well padded and ive had them over a year, although they are a little bulky, but they got some new models that look better

16 Oz are the ones used for sparring typically, although I use 10 oz sometimes so I can get the most realistic simulation of an actual fight.
