Of all the presidentiables,Noynoy didnt had any plans to become the Chief Executive until her mom died late last year, then he "realized the calling".

While I think he's a good enough candidate (compared to the other aspirants), I think he's still unprepared and may have just gave-in to the so-called "people's clamor" for change while riding on to the "Cory Magic" phenomena.

I still think Villar beats him though Gibo can be a darkhorse and steal the game in the end-line.

Tama yung paniniwalang walang hindi corrupt sa gov't, talagang hindi na maiiwasan yan, inherent na sa sistema.

Pero pre, yung mentality na kapag mayaman, mas mababa tendency na magnakaw. That's not necessarily true. Lahat ng namumuno ay mayaman na, bago maihalal sa pwesto, at ikaw din nagsabi, imposibleng hindi corrupt.

Plus ang mayayaman, kaya sila mayaman, mas marunong mag-invest yan, di basta gagastos kung hindi babalik sa kanila eventually, so mas mayaman, mas magaling bumawi ng gastos.

What i don't like about Villar is he has this tendency to mix business with politics, e kahit capitalist or socialist, naniniwala na you shouldn't mix the two.

Anyways, if i were to vote for Villar, it would be due to his capability to lead the country, which he has proven to be good, and not due to his riches.

Yung kay Cory naman, marami nangyari, kaso not enough. Anlayo ng current institutions kumpara sa iniwan ng previous admin, talagang nag-overhaul kumbaga. Not enough nga lang kasi in terms of economy and infrastructure, kinulang, naging evident ito nung napabayaan yun powerplants resulting in shortages at the end of her term. Kasama na din dun yung decision na pag-honor sa national debts e sa taas ng credibility ng Pinas noon, papayag naman ang lenders sa pakiusap.

Tama, lahat naman ng presidenteng umabot sa problema na MILF e sumoporta sa mga local allies, mga warlord sa Mindanao so mangyayari talaga yun.

Be that as it may, CARP is still an improvement over its predecessors, kahit di perpekto, it is the most radical version to date.

What i find to be funny is that politicians who proclaim themselves to have done better, have not passed any new agrarian reform laws.

To date, si Cory ang last na may major contribution sa agrarian reform, not Ramos, nor Erap.

1 more thing why i'm drifting away slowly from a Noynoy vote, his interviews, advertisements, PR releases are turning me off slowly. Why so?

He blames everything on corruption.

I get it, the country is ridden with corruption, but it gives me the impression that he's treating clean governance as a cure-all. Surely, the country needs a clean presidency, but it needs more than that right now. What i want to hear is a plan more specific than a promise to do good.

This is where Villar outdoes him, i heard Villar's plan for his first 100 days and it sounded concrete. Given na pangako lang naman, baka di matupad, but it gives you an idea if the candidate has an idea on how to fix the country. And heck, i don't even like Villar, but he has a plan.

Noynoy's ads that focus on corruption and nothing else feels insulting to a voter. We might as well vote a banker if they want gov't transactions to be transparent.

Villar - his credo of 'walang utang na loob, sariling sikap' is a declaration against patronage politics.

Aquino - pera from uncle danding, tsk tsk noy.

Estrada - walang kaibigan, walang kamag-anak DAW. but he solicited support from Danding before.

Teodoro - Saw it on the news today, he himself said he was against patronage politics. LAKAS-KAMPI-CMD is backed by a lot of oligarchs

Villanueva - Some of his faithful backers are oligarchs, even with his promise of a new kind of politics.

Gordon - Meron din yan. :)

Basically, either galing talaga sa oligarchy, or backed by one ang mga presidentable, and all who promise a new kind of politics are probably bulsyeting. haha.

The only ones that are not backed up by oligarchs are the leftist groups under the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan(when translated, New Peoples' Alliance), and those guys are not even for the State in the first place, so scratch that.

Pero you're right, Noynoy made a specific declaration that he is against it, and is waging a campaign riding on morality, kaya ayun, kapag nagkamali, wala nang natirang substance sa campaing.
