What are you guys' favorite rap breaks on pop songs?

I like the breaks on Motown Philly on Boyz II Men and Feels Good by Toni Tony Tone and also:

Heavy D on Michael Jackson's "Jam"
Redman on Christina's "Dirrty"
Jay-Z on MJ's "You rock my world"

I thought I'd need to drop a hint...

I believe it's from "Get Down". I know it is on the "Project Funk Da World" disc for sure...

Nah, it's not Camron... I still can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy. It's a much more upbeat tempo with some horns in the background.

I recall part of a verse where it's like: There's a whole lot of money to make/ and foundations to build/big hopes big dreams to fill./Put my team on that'll be the next to thrill.

Cheap bastard. Its RealPlayers Jukebox.

Seriously I cant imagine being without it now. You pay $9.99 a month and you get access to there entire library of music.

71,838 artists
104,996 albums
1,277,793 tracks

Pretty much every artist and song you can think of. It lets you stream the songs on your computer all you want. If you want to download the song or transfer it to an MP3 player you have to pay .99 cents, but you get 10 free credits a months so its pretty much paying for itself. The burner that comes with it is also good stuff. If your buring a CD you can crossfade the songs and what not so they blend together and what not.

Like I said Im listeing to Ghostface. I type his name into the search and get, Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Bulletproof Wallets, Shaolin's Finest and every song from those albums.

For some reason Def Jam is making you pay for the Pretty Tony album. I dont know why.

Ghost hasn't even been the biggest presence from that group. RZA and Meth are both more established on the hip hop map.

There is nothing that Ghost does better on the mic than AZ. AZ is superior lyrically and vocally. He has just as much flavor and his flow is really unique to him.

imo when its all said and done, ghost will have left the far larger impact on hip-hop.

btw who doesnt have this verse memerized?

Yo! Yo! Yo, **** that, look at all these crab *****z laid back
Lampin like them gray and black Puma's on my man's rack
Codeine was forced in your drink
You had a Navy Green salamander fiend, *****es never heard you scream
You two-faces, scum of the slum, I got your whole body numb
Blowin like Shalamar in eighty-one
Sound convincin, thousand dollar court by convention
Hands, like Sonny Liston, get fly permission
Hold the **** up, I'll unfasten your wig, bad luck
I humiliate, separate the English from the Dutch
it's me, black nobled you Ali
Came in threes we like the Genovese, is that so?

Ninety-three million miles from the first
Rough turbulence, the waveburst, split the megahertz

by perfect, i meant as a figure of speech. It doesnt deserve the 5 mic rating. There are flaws that keep it from being that 5 mic classic. A few of the songs had below average beats. I speak indiscreet cause talk is cheap
Then I get deep in the beat then complete yo
Pull up a seat, never weak or obsolete
They never grow old techniques become antiques
Better then something brand new 'cause it's radiant
And the wild style'll have much more volume
Classical too intelligent to be radical
Masterful, never irrelevant: mathematical
Here's some soothing souvenirs for all the years
They fought, and sought, the thoughts are not theirs
It's cool when you freak to the beat
But don't sweat the technique

Voletta Wallace: "I believe Sean loved my son - after he was dead."

Voletta Wallace, the mother of the late Notorious B.I.G. reportedly bashes Sean "Diddy" Combs and Lil' Kim in Biggie: Voletta Wallace Remembers Her Son, her forthcoming memoir.

In the book slated to be published by Simon & Schuster's Astria books, Wallace accuses both Diddy and Kim of using Biggie's name and image to further their respective careers.
"I'm glad my son does not have to witness that the very people that he thought he could ride and die with wouldn't think twice about using his mother," Wallace writes in regards to Diddy and Kim. "I am glad that he's not here to see how they have used his image and his name."

Wallace also added, "I believe Sean loved my son - after he was dead. I used to tell Christopher all the time not to trust Sean."

Wallace then goes on to note that Diddy has repeatedly been shouting out her son since his death. Only months after Biggie's demise, Diddy, then known as Puff Daddy, released "I'll Be Missing You," a tribute song to the fallen rapper. The single, which also featured BIG's widow, Faith Evans and former Bad Boy R&B quartet 112, quickly became a smash hit and helped launch Diddy's solo rap career. No Way Out, on which "I'll Be Missing You" was featured, went on to sell millions of copies.

Since then, Diddy has constantly been name-dropping Biggie in countless appearances and recordings, recently paying tribute to the Brooklyn emcee at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Meanwhile, Lil' Kim has borrowed countless lines from the rapper and even adopted some of his aliases, namely Kim's 2000 album which was titled, Notorious K.I.M. Furthermore, in the book, Wallace alleges that Kim stole from her New Jersey residence after she let Queen Bee use the home for a magazine interview.

"The first picture I saw was Kim wearing my son's mink coat, holding his chain and wearing his hat. I was in shock. I felt violated," Wallace revealed in the book. "I read the entire article and learned that not only was Kim wearing things belonging to my son, but she claimed that the home belonged to her as well. This experience helped me draw my own opinions about Kim. And they weren't good."

Voletta Wallace's Biggie: Voletta Wallace Remembers Her Son is slated to hit stores October 25th.

O.K. I will agree with the tatse thing and taste only applies when you are not talking about a true Hip-Hop pioneer obviously anyone who cares about the music what so ever could agree on those things.I just have this thing to the fact that if I listen to a CD a certain amout of times I find the strenghts and weaknesses of it IMO and decide whether or not I would vouch for it as a thing to even waste your time listening to and I feel this CD is some thing alot of people who are just trying to get by with what is out and wants something at least backed up by legitimacy should check it out.Fair enough.I like you Fix you know that...in a not *** type way.LOL

The little brother album is pretty solid in my opinion. I dont think its really all that different from The Listening (mostly laid back beats, phonte and pooh's content not much different), but its still worth hearing.

It is funny though how much controversy it has caused in mainstream media for an album that isnt particularly controversial.

if you didnt hear, the chief editor for the source quit because he wanted to give the album 4.5 and benzino and dave mays said 4 mics.

1.Still Alive-one of the worst beats I've ever heard. The song would have been better acapella. I'm certain I could make a better beat on my MTV Music Generator for PS2.
2.So sincere-Sounds lazy, especially for an album opener, not bad, but not actually good either.
3.Street life-the beats average, amatuerish beat for such an AMAZING MC to have to rhyme on. Half-A-Mil(R.I.P.) comes wack on it too.
4.Bedtime Story-also another amatuerish sounding beat that doesnt deserve to share a track with AZ.

Other than that, every song is basically Flawless. I think A.W.O.L. and Hell's Winter are the only threats as the best hip hop album of the year, as well as that upcoming DangerDOOM album.

disgraceful, source has got to be paid off on that one.

after all these years i had no complaints with their five 5 mic albums but now in rap history lil kim has 5 mics on her resume.pisses me off, its not cause she is a ***** cause jean grae is better than most of the trash out now.
