Dont like the flow and the gangsta voice of the rappers. I dont think it sounds like his natural voice like that guy with the EAST SIDE Boyz. Then they ripped that beat from Camp-Lo for their song Slick Talkers. They should not have ripped that, it was a rap classic. Overall: I've heard worse. I've heard better. The beats are decent but nothing sticks out to me. Right on The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters. The Fix 08-16-2005, 03:21 AM anybody have info on album sales in rap this year, like the riaa or billboard charts numbers to date? not them cheezy cut off lists on billboards site. BLOODSHED 08-16-2005, 03:22 AM Sohh.com did one recently. thats how i know common's only at 300,000 copies. The Fix 08-16-2005, 03:26 AM Sohh.com did one recently. thats how i know common's only at 300,000 copies. common has moved over 800,000 units last time i had the oppurtunity to see the riaa numbers. BLOODSHED 08-16-2005, 03:27 AM RIAA doesnt tell numbers. It just says gold, platinum, multi=platinum, etc. And I checked like a month ago and one album has gone gold. The Fix 08-16-2005, 03:31 AM RIAA doesnt tell numbers. It just says gold, platinum, multi=platinum, etc. And I checked like a month ago and one album has gone gold. maybe it was soundscan then, i am positive common has moved 800,000 units BLOODSHED 08-16-2005, 03:35 AM If it was 800,000 thats still disappointing. Kanye samples EVERY song and you know thats expensive and he did Common's whole album. And then Kanye makes an artist from scratch, John Legend, and the guy is already platinum. While this is like Common's tenth album and he isn't near Legend in sales. Might I add, they've both had two videos. maybe it was soundscan then, i am positive common has moved 800,000 units BLOODSHED 08-16-2005, 03:37 AM RIAA.com Like Water For Chocolate-Gold Thats it for Common scottydottie 08-16-2005, 04:55 AM Anyone hear of NASTY NARDO? hes featured on the HUSTLE and FLow soundtrack. I still have a tape player in my van, and some old tapes from late 1980s, early 1990s, and a few from around 2000 when I was on the road quite a bit with this tape player in the van. I don't like cassettes where I have to mess with the fast-forward/rewind buttons. So I put two of my favorites in to and from class the past two weeks, and it occurred to me that these are solid 4 mic albums in my eyes. What are some of your UNIQUE albums you feel are just fine; not 5-mic quality, but tapes you wouldn't have to hit the fast-forward button on?
