Playa ****'s beat isnt bad. Dont like the flow and the gangsta voice of the rappers. I dont think it sounds like his natural voice like that guy with the EAST SIDE Boyz.

Then they ripped that beat from Camp-Lo for their song Slick Talkers. They should not have ripped that, it was a rap classic.

Overall: I've heard worse. I've heard better. The beats are decent but nothing sticks out to me.

RIAA doesnt tell numbers. It just says gold,platinum, multi=platinum, etc. And I checked like a month ago and one album has gone gold.

If it was 800,000 thats still disappointing. Kanye samples EVERY song and you know thats expensive and he did Common's whole album.

And then Kanye makes an artist from scratch, John Legend, and the guy is already platinum.

Lyrically, Buck doesnt disappoint, 9th's beats are on point, but he does get a bit repetitive. I'm biased, because Buck is one of my favorite MC's.

I still haven't heard the album, so I don't have an opinion one way or the other. I was really surprised when I read the review on it though.

Yukmouth was decent in the mid-late nineties. "I got 5 on it" is a classic.

As much as I appreciate and respect the classic rap. I seem to enjoy the commercial side of it better. Not the Ja Rules and Bow Wows and **** like that, more of the Cams and Dipsets and *some* G-Unit out there. I guess I like more of the music u can ride to more than really listen to and appreciate. But note Only Built for Cuban Linx is my favorite all time cd.

I'm guessing most current rappers would sell their soul for enough talent to put out even the mediocre Encore album...

Encore was below mediocre, there weren't enough tight songs on there to save it from complete wackness.

And there are ALOT of rappers out right now who's talents are far above what was on Encore. Bizarre's the least talented out of the Shady camp but his album was much better than Encore, and Bizarre is not iller than too many people.

The only tracks I enjoyed somewhat on encore were "yellowbrick road" and "encore"

like the wwf, eminem lost his shock value and became stale.

plus i dont think many would thinks its cool that hes killing his mother and girlfriend every album while finding the time to kiss his daughter in videos
