I just started learning the sweet science and one of the things i haven't been able to understand is how to properly use the double end bag. What are some basic things to work on? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Its used for timing and head movement. JAB JAB JAB SLIP SLIP SLIP!!

this is correct hit it try to throw combos and hit it each time and move when it comes back

Go on youtube and type it in ... Mosley, Mayweather, Pacman and quite a few other very good boxer's are there showing their technique on the double\double.

Best to see how its used correctly ... before you start.

Its great for precision, timing and head movement.

I tend to move my head to the sides then under or just sides whenever the bag comes back...just practice and eventually you will become a master with it.

Look for shane mosley training double end bag on youtube (I can't put up links yet, not enough posts). About 4 minutes in he works on a double end bag, you couldn't go far wrong following that.
